Cherie Blair paid by Turkish Cypriots to defend the Ormas

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I can't see why you are so outraged. She is a barrister and whether you like it or not this is a political issue. This case will not only damage the north, if lost, but will spill over into the UK. We are allowed to defend ourselves. I am sure that all Greeks and/or GCs think long and hard before taking on the best defence they can find. This GC mentality that anything that goes against them is either illegal or morally unjust is just getting a little bit tiresome.

Oh, by the way do you think it is an outrage that the Greek soldiers are paid by Greece?

Only in Cyprus, the influence of a country leader may alter a court decision on a land law suit.

Sorry my friends. I have to disagree with your statements here. Mrs Blair is a lawyer. And she was hired by a client to represent them. Like it or not it is her job to do that.

Please don't tell me that, that is no a right she has as a professional.

Always amazes me how twisted thinking we still have in Cyprus. Is like someone telling that the lawyer who is representing Saddam is a traitor to his country and he shoule be expelled???? Do we like that he is? Hell no. But he is doing his job. Same way as Criminal Lawyers represent a child malester or a drug dealer. We don't like it but we can not blame them.

Again. The REST of the world does not think the way the 700 000 plus LESS 35% of the GC do. As much as we have advanced we should TRY to see the whole picture.

The world does NOT revolve around Cyprus!!!!!!!!

Leonidas...there is more than enough evidence to show that Tony Blair is against the Greek Cypriot cause. Now his wife is representing the parasite Orams....you do the math.

This is simply another way for the TCs to try to get around something which they know is illegal. Leonidas, Mrs Blair is not just a lawyer, SHE IS THE PRIME MINISTER'S WIFE. How the hell can a Prime Minister's wife represent the Orams (and consequently TCs) in such a highly political argument. It is absolutely ludicrous. The report above clearly shows the hidden motives and anybody who can't see it is completely naive.

Mrs Blair should do the honourable thing and withdraw from the case. Otherwise, any decision is going to be tainted by the very dark cloud that is hanging over this case.

Im sure it would have been different if she was fighting in the GC corner, then it would have been shes a lawyer she has every right. Who started this legal battle?, the GCs! Surely the fact they can lose must have been calculated as you can imagine the explosion of interest in property in the north if this case is put out to dry until a solution is found. I truly believe GCs are cutting off their noses despite their faces, instead of pursuing legal battles they should be at the negotiating table.
