Join us for a night Full of Stars!

The event of the Kition Planetarium & Observatory, "Perseids Meteor Shower 2016", will be hosted by the KiteMed Kitesurfing School at The Spot at Softades Beach, Kiti, Larnaca. This event is part of the annual project "Comsic Light Reaches Cyprus 2016" which was voted by the International Astronomical Union as one of the best projects in the world for this year.

Between the night of Aug 12 and morning of Aug 13 we will observe the maximum of Perseids with the estimations of up to 150 meteors per hour. This year the sky made us an excellent gift; after the sunset we will have opportutity to observe the Moon and all 5 planets known to Ancient Greeks. They are Mercury, Venus (named after the the goddess, who was born in Cyprus), Jupiter, Mars and Saturn.
