We are in the process of purchasing a holiday apartment which will be solely for our use( and close family) for maybe 12 weeks a year. Flying into and out of Paphos, would we be best buying a car and long term parking near the airport or hiring a car each time we get over here? Any help or advice gratefully received.

Myself I chose to buy a 2nd hand car 5 years ago. I keep it parked at the house though and use a taxi from the airport (35 km / 30 minutes / 35-40€ one way).

If I come for a week, I simply hire a car (100 €)
