Turkey is like a “semi-open prison,” main opposition Republican People’s Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu has said in a speech on the rising number of jailed journalists and writers in the country. “We will know how to struggle. Artists, writers, cartoonists, journalists and lawyers should not worry; Turkey will continue on the path of contemporary civilization,” he added.
He said it but this does not only apply to those people who do those endevours. It applies to the nation as a whole. Turkey needs lessons in human rights to make it to contemporary civilization. If they dont learn, they wont make it. They can only hope that it is not going to be as challenging as it was for the people they oppressed and denied of their human rights.
Erdogan is now calling the UN a burden on humanity. Whenever I hear him speak I cant help but see a projection of oneself on to everyone else. He is the burden on humanity.
