Meet "Nea Salamina FC Ghana"! :)

The team's full name is "Juapong All Stars (Nea Salamina FC Ghana)" and I'm not sure why! :?

I suspect there's some sort of sponsorship going on by our Nea Salamina because they're wearing the same shirts and logo as ours.

Funny eh?

Prognosis for tonight: APOEL vs Olympiacos

I suspect that this match will be a FIXED 0-0 or 1-1 draw or even a 0-1, because the Cypriots will (foolishly) want to help their Greek friends advance to the next round with them!

A draw would secure Olympiacos’ advancement regardless of what happens in the other match. If however Young Boys beats Astana by 3-0 or more and Olympiacos loses to APOEL, then Young Boys advance to the next round.

I also notice that the Cyprus Sports media in general has gone rather quiet about this match… I’m finding it very hard to find articles about this match and this is most unusual for a European game.

So basically, I definitely don’t see a win for APOEL here tonight because my gut feeling is that this match is rigged.

Here are their current standings so that you can see the picture better…

Addendum:

I withdraw the prediction above because I realise there's a daft "head to head" rule involved meaning that Youing boys have been eliminated.
