Nobody trusts them just as nobody trusts you.

Had they seated them on the same stand and they started punching each other up you’d be here crying about the police placing the “sheep” among the wolves on purpose!

and yet there were other tcs in the stands mixed and were not attacked. how did they decide who to segregate and who did not then.

Maybe the segregation was based on which team they came to support.

Rowdiness!

3 busses full means 3 x 65 = about 200 supporters

The slightest altercation on the stands would’ve ruined Cyprus’ chances as FIFA/UEFA are very strict so they weren’t taking any chances of ruining what they thought was going to be a bright start to the tournament, although it didn’t end up that way as the Belgians proved too strong.

so why did they hold them back for 2 hours. would it not make sense to let them out first which would have taken no more than 10 minutes and then let the rest out. at least they would have been far away by the time the thugs came out. what was there to stop the thugs from hanging around to start trouble afterwards once they new there were tcs in the gorund.

is this not what the police used to do in the 60s. take tcs to the police station and then release then after midnight so eoka can pick them up and murder them.

not that i have any sympathy for those who go to see groc play. who would want to se a bunch of racists kicking a ball around for an hour and a half. i guess it takes all sorts to make this world
