CL Second qualifying round 12/13 July
-------------------------------------------------------------------

APOEL Nicosia vs ( The New Saints (Wales) vs (San Marino) Tre Penne )

Oh God... APOEL should enjoy a goal fiesta against any of these two although I think the Welsh should qualify.

EL First qualifying round 30th June
-------------------------------------------------------------------

AEK Larnaca vs (San Marino) Folgore

Banants (Armenia) vs Omonia Nicosia

Same with these two!

NB: Apollon enters the 3rd round.

San Marino have a football league?. Their national team is like a pub team.

It's about the individual dribbling skill of players, combinations, overcoming tough defenses, etc. Also, the physical strength and stamina of pros is truly incredible.

It’s so hard to be good at football that only a handful of people play it professionally.

Anyone can play cricket, baseball and stupid sports like that but not so with football!

What a match... did you guys see Ronaldo get upset and jump up and down in anger when Hungary took the lead?

At around 50"-55".

I wondered if anyone would notice there was a football tournament on :)

I watched the Iceland - Austria game myself. Iceland - I love them, what a stunning result for them and an extraordinary tournament they are having so far. Population of 330,000 people, not only made it to the Euro's, not only made it out of the group stage, but made it out in second place and ahead of Portugal ! So pleased for them. If England are to go out in the first stage of the knockout round, there is not a team I would rather they go out too than Iceland. The only shame for me is that Hungary could not quite put Portugal out entirely. Stunningly exciting 90 mins of football over two games - 9 goals in all !.

We *are* watching it Erol, but Cyprus isn’t playing so there’s not much to get excited about. :(

Yes, for such a tiny country Iceland is doing remarkably well. Against Hungary they didn’t look that good though.

Croatia was an interesting side… a bit rough and ready for a fight at every opportunity but then again they’re Yugoslavs so…

Omonia seems to be the weaker team so far.

Their four transfers so far include players from the English 2nd division, Danish 2nd division, French 3rd division and Turkish 2nd division!

What do they expect to achieve with these losers?

BTW, they hired an English manager for the first time after 63 years.
