UK is most corrupt country in the world, says mafia expert Roberto Saviano

"Britain is the most corrupt country in the world, according to journalist Roberto Saviano,
who spent more than a decade exposing the criminal dealings of the Italian Mafia.

Mr Saviano, who wrote the best-selling exposés Gomorrah and ZeroZeroZero, made the
comments at the Hay Literary Festival. The 36-year-old has been living under police
protection since publishing revelations about members of the Camorra, a powerful
Neapolitan branch of the mafia, in 2006.

He said: “If I asked you what is the most corrupt place on Earth you might tell me well
it’s Afghanistan, maybe Greece, Nigeria, the South of Italy and I will tell you it’s the UK.

“It’s not the bureaucracy, it’s not the police, it’s not the politics but what is corrupt is the
financial capital. 90 per cent of the owners of capital in London have their headquarters offshore."

My words .... it's about the Cabal in the Corporation of the City of London ... read books, research
this corruption, both historic and NOW ... it's so important, not necessarily for you, but for your
children and grandchildren. People should be shouting from the rooftops and sending letters
to their MP's about this elite banking fraternity who rip us off day in, day out.

Of course the UK is the most corrupt country on the planet....... the British invented legal corruption!!!!! But you need to differentiate between legal corruption and illegal corruption!

If you look at just bribery, little brown envelopes and kick backs, they are illegal. The figures related to that sort of corruption are infinitesimal when compare to the huge sums of money that the 0.001% squirrel away legally every day.

The Europeans in the main, created the population of immigrants that now form the American people but the elite of Europe formed the system they live under .... which is fuelled by endemic legal corruption! The US is an extension of the system the British invented and the US is now the worlds exceptional power and their power is virtually unlimited ...... it is just not too obvious unless. like this guy, you start looking into it.

Oh and yes there is corruption in the UK too, more than just of the Brown Envelope sort....how Kiddy Fiddlers, particular among the Rich and Famous, are seldom properly investigated, how Thomas Hamilton (also likely a Kiddy Fiddler) got guns... who is Charles Lynton, allegedly done for importunity in a public toilet, possibly known as "Miranda", possibly linked to Elm House, a place apparently frequented by Harry Webb (aka 'Kitty?") who is a friend of "Miranda", (offered him the use of his foreign holiday Cottage) and was apparently a friend of Jimmy Saville..., and where does Reg Dwight fit in?

That is not really what I would call corruption, more like abuse of power. Sometimes the two are linked where knowledge is used to blackmail someone but in my book it is this 'legal' corruption that is the worst form. But, to apply this legal corruption you need money certainly but, often you need power as well to have legislation written so that it protects the interests of the few.

As a Brit I agree with you! But you will find that those that make such comments have never been anywhere other than places they see on their 2 week annual package tour holiday...... and often they feel that makes them experts! They have never seen or worked in the REAL Saudi Arabia or Iran, only what they see on TV.

Any country that has antiquated computer systems and required me to go from office to office in order to get a Cypriot Birth Certificate and ID Card over 5 days is pretty third world if you ask me. Just completely unnecessary!

Can you imagine how tough it is to run a business and invest? A reason perhaps why there is not a lot of activity.
