The grinning DOG !!

Postby miltiades » Sat May 28, 2016 9:14 am

About a month since my daughter in Limassol found this abandoned little dog and took her home.

The transformation has been amazing to say the least. I have yet to meet Bella but Im told that she has become such a happy little dog with a permanent grin on her face. It reminds me of the time I " stole" Lenie , my mastiff dog who within a few days he begun to express his gratitude as if to tell me thank you for rescuing me and giving me love and care.

All animals have a brain, all animals have feelings and are able to recognize and reciprocate love and affection.

Have a look at these two photos, one taken on the first day of Bella's nw home and the other some days later.

Thanks GiG, the children are so happy now, since losing Daisy they have all been so sad, well at least Bella now somehow is a substitute. Poor Daisy, it looks as if maybe she was stolen , being a hunting dog, I hope if so the culprits are treating her humanely. Daisy was used to the family and was loved and cared for so much.

Having had dogs all my life I have come to understand how they feel, they even know when your sad or happy. I recall vividly the day that my late wife passed away, my then dog, Max, a boxer knew something very sad had happened as for the first time in his long life he begun howling loudly as if sharing our pain. Never did this before !

As I'm going away tomorrow for 4 days, my son collected my Lennie , he, the dog, knew somehow that I was going away, curled up next to me on the sofa resting his head, rather large, on my legs. Hate leaving him but he is in very good hands, my son absolutely adores animals and he is so good with dogs.

MOT, (my other third ) has a mini Yorkshire Terrier, she is such a beauty, not MOT, the dog.
For years and years now I have had dogs and absolutely endorse the cliché " A dog is mans best friend ".

By the way, MOT is also ....gorgeous, slightly older than her ....dog

We sadly lost our golden girl a few years back. Not a day goes by when I don't think about her.

This one, he's such a boy! He is so loving and needy. :D

In an ideal world, I would drown in Labradors of every colour ..

Do you have a dog, Linichka?
