If the British had wiped out or subsumed all aboriginal culture and people entirely such that it and they ceased to exist at all today that would not have made them the native people of Australia. Think about it.

Cyprus is not Greek, does not belong to Greece, is not a territory of Greece and is not ruled by and from Greece. Cyprus is Cypriot, a rich and wondrous tapestry that is dominated by Greek culture and language and religion but that is none the less so much more than just Greek. You sell Cyprus short at every turn and you should be ashamed.

No, it's you has to think about it.

- Because if Turkey wipes out all the native Greeks from northern Cyprus (as it is trying), Turk-TCs will STILL NEVER compromise the native people of Cyprus - because the native people have been Greeks since historical records begun, and before!

You are blind stupid to the hypocrisy in your soul.

When LEVANTINES made FIRST CONTACT with the island of Cyprus (<-NATIVITY), the place you call “Greece” today DID NOT EXIST… for Cyprus was settled by Levantines a good 2-3 thousand years before Greece/Greeks existed.

So, quit posting bollocks!

There were people in Cyprus, with a culture and language of their own, before the first Greek ever arrived in Cyprus. Some time after the arrival of Greeks and Greek culture in Cyprus this previous people and culture ceased to exist. Think about it.

Don't bother asking the impossible....for gIG to think, at least rationally, as though you are correct, it does not fit her world view.

The Minoans for, example, not Greek, differnt language, culture, but they have to be Greek as it otherwise dusturbs the myth, as told by GIG. Look at the nonsense spouted over Linear A being Greek, when it us not, Linear B being an adaption of Linear A to make it fit Greek at a time the Greeks were illiterate and had no written language of their own, .

Yes, and historical records and now DNA migration studies show they were the same people.

And what are you talking about with regard to "ceased to exist"? There are no known discontinuities - there is a continuous culture that progressed as most do.

No they don't. They show that Cypriots and Levantines (Syrians, Druze, Lebanese, etc) are basically the same people.

No, it's saying that over 10,000 years ago or so, the people of this area were the same and then struck out. As I said, the people of Cyprus were the same as the people of Greece (from one tribe). They mixed and developed and re-mixed until we have the modern historical records which provide definitive proof that they shared a developing culture. More recent records show less mixing due to the rise of some religions. There are even tiny fragments of migratory DNA found in Spaniards for example and Cypriots and Christian Lebanese that were brought here about a thousand years ago by the Crusaders.
