...you did not answer my question.

Say it again if you will, for me. "I love Cyprus". I know you have courage.

...I am asking you to stand beside me, to say it, to dare, to hold the only Flag (and that includes the"Greeks" and "Turks") we have as Cypriots which can represent such an intention, as loving Human beings.

@Cap, cheers. @Ocean, maybe not incorrect, but incomplete, (wrongs are corrected, we change ourselves accordingly), look around you, are there niggers hanging from trees?

No but sadly there were Turkish speaking Cypriots hanging from the trees in the summer of 74 and Greek Speaking cypriots likewise cruelly killed...the athlete could have chosen another flag but hechose that one. Good, I say. good.

how many times must i say i love cyprus and i despise anybody who tries to give it to greaks or the terggs in equal measure. and they know exactly what to do with their flags too.

My statement does not negate the Tc as a minority in Cyprus, it gives them a political say but the fact that Tc as a minority in Cyprus have political rights it doesn't negate the Greek identity in Cyprus just like a minority of East Indians doesn't negate the Britishness of England... Try and erase the Britishness of England and you will get the same results as there are in Cyprus..there's a reason minority rights are respected, that's what we should be cheering about in today's EU Cyprus ..trying to de-ethnicize a nation is dangerous and unproductive

What kind of “Greek identity” is this that:

1. ...doesn’t entitle you to protection from the Greek military!

2. ...doesn’t entitle you to a Greek passport!

3. ...is acquired through primary school history lessons paid for by Greece!

4. ...warrants a coup d'etat against you paving the way to the Turkish enslavement of 37% of your territory!

Are you sure it's a “Greek identity” you have, or a Greek cucumber up your arse? :?

...i any case minority rights will be important in Cyprus, whether at another level of government or not there exist Cypriot Constituencies.

in any case, Cyprus is not "pure", no where should it be expected to be so, either. If it is "Greek", or "Turkish", or "Arabic", or "Latin", in any case one expects that as Cypriots, very many will speak English, likely Greek, too.

...Cypriots, by an overwhelming number may have pride in being Greek,

...being "Greek" on the other hand has demonstrated itself to be a failing, because as Cypriots, Cypriots are better-off. "Greeks" like "Turks" (when it comes to Cyprus) have shown themselves to be no different.

no, the identity of Greeks should not be negated either, as i said, minority rights shall become a big issue in Cyprus, soon.
