No I am not atall surprised but I wanted to get in first before "Irma" said my refusal condemn made the whole situation more outrageous...., but then she is selective in trying to demonise some in that way while not wanting to condem some bit if shit who suggested refugees coming to Cyprus, as a part of an EU scheme, Should be converted to soap, or perhaps (after well meaning and kindly Greeks showing them common humanity and helping the refugees (for which they as individuals deserve praise) and after Other less well intentioned Greeks from Golden Shower, oops I mean Golden Yawn, or something that sounds like that, beat them up,) that is her desire, too for the Asylum seekers in Greece.

The ranting that the two (three) of you produce is entertaining to some degree, and sometimes it provides the insight, i'm looking for, but generally i'm not sure that the readership learns much from all those words, about Cyprus.

...yes i read this article too. Given the youtube i saw of an illegal crossing, years ago, I can only commend the discipline of the Greek soldiers who did not fire at the Turkish troops across the border who were the facilitators of these acts.

Thank you for your two posts, with, as usual from you, words of wisdom. I have carefully considered the position. For you I will try to hold off from further posts of the sort you are concerned about , which may increase the antagonism, if for her part Greek Island Girl will seek to do the same by refraining from her knee jerk ad hominin attacks charterised by describing those such as I who may disagree with her as "Greek haters"' "Turk lovers" , "fascists, " , "imperialists" , " colonialist" or the like. Not that i feel particularly personally insulted by those terms but where their indiscriminate use (which deprives them of what little value they may have had as insults) adds nothing to the constructive debate.

What do you expect? I dont know what is worse, Erdogan continuing to take the EU for a ride or those EU politicians that keep getting taken for a ride by Erdogan.

It is unbeleivable that there are still people in Europe, politicians and citizens alike that still support Turkey's EU membership and do nothing about Turkey's occupation of Cyprus.
