what the kurdish fighters are doing will seem like a picnic in the park when compared what these children will do when they grow up. never in the history of the world so much opression has been dished out on so many people.

By the time these kids grow up, they will be smart enough to not get involved in fundamentalism and in addition we are getting very good at stifling the money and recruitment.

It is Turkey that needs to watch it. Kurdistan surround you. 20 million in Turkey as well. How about a BBC?

Yep. I was thinking Confederation rather than Federation.

Yes, Erdoğan was negotiating a deal that would have given considerable autonomy to the predominantly Kurdish south-east, something a bit like a BBF, and then made a dramatic U-turn. Most people think that was because he saw the need to court the support of nationalists after his party failed to gain an overall majority in the June elections. However, the head of the PKK has recently come out with the astonishing and, as far as I know, unsubstantiated allegation that Erdoğan was about to be deposed (who by? - the mind boggles) on account of the deal he was about to make and that's why he was forced to radically change tack.

I have no idea if Paphitis views on Syria are right or wrong.
Perhaps this might look surprising to all you expats but we in Cyprus are totally in the dark.
There;s almost no info on the media, nothing on the local news, no discussions,no commentaries, nothing!
I'd bet 99% of the kypreoi know nothing about it, not sure what the % is among the Kibrislis. Oh I just remembered my old terms

Btw didn't you Milti and Paphitis confessed your sins to each other and asked for forgiveness?
Was it so hard for you Milti, to imagine that such a new poll would spark a new circle

Anyway this is a discussion forum, it's funny that some people never learn when it's time to stop talking. Paphitis is of course the No1, but on the other hand there are also people who never learn when they should not start talking.Guess who the No1 of that is

I made a public apology to Paphitis a little way back. However I withdrew the apology when this idiot begun to throw insults at me.
I DO NOT TAKE INSLUTS .
As for not knowing what his views are perhaps you can read his comments on wishing that Turkey shoots down a few more Russian planes, or his constant references to OUR, WE, in referring to the Syrian conflict.

You are wrong about the Cypriots being in the dark on the Syrian issue. Turkey the occupier of our northern parts is " part" of the coalition demanding the removal of the elected president of Syria, why on earth should I or anyone else concur with such demands by the West ? Paphitis has publicly stated that he hates Putin more than he hates ISIS. This in it self is evident of his utter naivety and stupidity. He hates Russia passionately and follows erroneous acts enacted by the West that led to the creation of more than 100 "revolutionary" groups vying for power.

The guy is a complete nutter, his views are nauseating and as this Poll has shown NOBODY considers his views as valid, He cast the only vote yet he denied that he did, challenged to prove me wrong when I asked him to cast his vote and double the score he failed to do so.

Will I or any other Cypriot stand shoulder to shoulder with Turkey ? No fucking way.

Well, I didn't cast a vote because I do not think that using a poll as a vehicle for a personal attack is valid.
