@ GiG: Under the Circumstances where Greece as a nation state with resources and territories of its own did not emerge until after the 1821 revolution and where Cyprus was not at the time nor at any time since a part of the territory of that nation state can you clarify what you mean by your sentence below, in particular the the last four words?

It's kept poor by countries like Turkey that steal Greece's resources and territories and that includes Cyprus!

Do you mean that Cyprus is a resource or territory belonging to Greece?

If not, what do you mean?

Saying Cyprus is a territory of Greece is to support the policy of Greece extending it's power and influence through making Cyprus a colony of Greece.

You just can't help yourself, can you? It's one lie after another.

You might as well decide everything that anyone is likely to say and post all by yourself because you do a pretty fine job of making stuff up!

I've asked erol (more than once) to start a dedicated thread if he wants to discuss the relationship, association, relatedness etc whatever - between Greece and Cyprus.

But he is too busy making up his own ideas of what people say and happier derailing this thread about a nice thing that Cyprus is doing than actually allowing others to have a say.

...what a waste of good minds.

GIG by now i would have expected from you a little better. Do you really care that much about what erolz thinks about you? What do you care about more? Cyprus perhaps?

...how have these people been welcomed, does anyone know?

No, I don't care what he thinks about me. I've never tried to change his mind on how little he thinks of me.

But I do care if he will throw out propaganda against Greece or Cyprus and that is what I challenge him on - especially when he re-interprets to suit the Turkish line (as I know now branding Cyprus as a colony is what Turks want to do as it's come up before).

I'm sorry RW that they have hijacked your thread, as they have done countless threads of mine that say something positive about Greeks - but I have asked him a few times to start another thread to discuss this issue but he continues to lie and lie again.

It may already be happening as One of the reported problems in Syria was reportedly massive drought in the period from 2006 or so, and a number of news items and discussion papers posit that alleged changes brought about by this, with farmers apparently driven off the land into the Cities may be factor in the causes of the conflict in Syria. This is a controversial view still under investigation.
