IMO: I think that the visit by Obama was to tell Cameron that " ........the UK WILL NOT leave the EU .... see to it or else! "

He has now roped in La Garde and other banking sector 'remain' supporters, because it is certainly in their interest that the UK remains under their control. It is important to the US to have a mirror image of itself with a federal Europe, where the state is run by the very few for the benefit of the very few. It is easier to deal with a single authority rather than a patchwork of independent States. Personally ..... I think the Eurozone will collapse quite soon and will be followed by the disintegration of the whole idea of a Federal Europe! As you say 'Good riddance' I think only the US and Israel will mourn its passing.

Much of what they said in the video I didn't have a clue about, I can only believe it to be the truth and is very worrying. Still not sure how I would vote, if I were able to. Whether to sink with the rest of Europe or quit now and go it alone ..... although we would not be alone, we would actually be rejoining the rest of the World that Fortress Europe appears to be cutting us off from.

I am trying to find another such video giving the other view of the story but finding it difficult. They all seem to be relying on this 'fear' factor.

Why do the Brits not see this sort of thing on the TV?

Well, well, well ....... at last you are beginning to get the message and have realised that 98% of money exists ONLY as debt ! There is hope for you yet .... although I doubt it somehow.

Actually it is a thread that I started because I thought it interesting and is about the so called 'Brexit' and the justification for leaving the EU. It is just sad that you have difficulty in coming to terms with an understanding of what that implies. Maybe if you actually watched the video, you would learn, as I did, something about how the EU operates.

Once again you display your complete ignorance on a subject but feel that your uninformed opinion in some way has some validity or bearing on the issue. But there again speaking from a position of knowledge is not your strong point .... is it?

Of course the USA doesn't want Britain to exit the EU. It's not the only one. Japan, Canada and Australia don't either. Why?

Well not because we want to control it. But because it suits our interests and we have our voice within the EU, to develop our own trade with EU partners, and to facilitate the free movement of our Capital and actually invest in Europe and make money out of it. Isn't that the whole point?

Nothing wrong with it since this actually is to Europe's overall benefit and creates jobs.

But don't be fooled! Not everything hinges on the UK. We have many conduits in the EU - Germany, Holland, Austria. and France. So we won't be hard up but thanks for the concern.

But nice try in actually changing the subject to Banks and the evil Capitalist system. I'm pretty sure nothing will change that much even if there is a BREXIT and the USA, Australia, Japan, and Canada will still trade and invest in the UK just like before when the EU never even existed in its current format. It is just that we will have one less voice in Brussels which is not ideal for out interests. But we will still have plenty and more than enough.

You obviously haven't watched the video ...... they do a good job of explaining why the EU has the lowest growth rate of all the worlds major economies.

Those outside the EU (USA, Australia, Japan, China, Canada) have been trading with the EU for a long time. There are no barriers. And trade between EU and those outside is worth Trillions. So the video is total nonsense. And it will continue with or without Britain.
