Just be wary your ....reward doesn't hurt too much

Yet more evidence, as if it were needed, that you are clueless about the Gulf. I lived in Qatar for two years, day in day out, night in night out, and rubbed shoulders with a great many people. The word on the street there is that child rape is endemic. It mainly goes on behind closed doors and is kept quiet. A Qatari workmate of mine once said that the main reason he employed a private driver, as most Qatari families do, is because he would never send his kids to school by taxi because he wouldn't trust trust the taxi driver not to rape them.
For Pete's sake. You obviously arrive in Saudi Arabia, put on rose tinted glasses, get whisked off to a five-star hotel and have dealings with members of the Western-educated elite in the refined atmosphere of a luxury hotel lobby and then go back to the airport and leave. That doesn't make you an expert on the country.

The word on the street....don't make me laugh.
I never saw any evidence of that. What I do know, if you're a weirdo, the authorities know how to deal with you and I honestly can't criticize that.
I can't talk about what occurs behind closed doors. But they are immensely conservative, so I challenge the veracity of your claims. Firstly, a female who is a non virgin before being married, can get into trouble. Secondly, if you rape a girl, especially a minor, they will chop your balls off.
I have spent quite some time on the Arabian Peninsula. At one time I was there for 6 months on a contract. I've had plenty of time to get a feel for every souq, and while it is not my cup of tea, it is not that bad at all. There is a lot of misinformation. And you should also know, that Qatar is actually moving ahead at a very fast pace, much faster than Saudi Arabia and almost catching up to the UAE.
I dare anyone to even touch a woman over there in Saudi Arabia. You wouldn't friggin dare because you would wet your pants. You get yourself into trouble there and you're literally stuffed and probably without even legal representation it will be off to chop chop square.
Why don't you go to DOHA now for the World Cup - be prepared to eat your words.

It's apparently mainly boys that get raped. What's the big laugh about the word on the street? Everything you are coming up with is hearsay.

I only visited S.Arabia once, was not the least impressed leaving aside their highways, airport etc.
Im far more convinced by their respective assessments than yours M.

What hearsay?
That the UAE is amazing? It is amazing. That Qatar is turning into another UAE? That KSA is also following in the same direction? You go and check it out for yourself.
Do you know what happens to homosexuals who fiddle with boys? Even just being an adult and consenting homosexual? Not the country for that kind of activity, so any homosexuals, like Atheists are best advised to be very quiet. I carried an Orthodox Bible everywhere I went. Which is a sacred book for them too.
