Turkey wants a new Cyprus internationally accepted Constitution replacing the 1960 version based on a Federal formula, period. Whether the GCs spend the next 500 years deciding on whether to say no or not, doesn't concern Turkey. That's Turkey's ultimate goal on a Cyprus future and the talks will continue until that end. The historical practices is evident on this strategy. Without a Federal agreement, an internationally accepted Turkish Cypriot element will never materialise. This may sound surprising to say from a TC like myself, but it's the plain truth and the GCS know it.
