The problem is, you're associating Western civilization to a handful of Western power hungry thugs and their foreign policies.

Said thugs with access to superior Western technology are absolutely going to run riot in foreign countries.

The reality though is that almost no American give's a flying fu** about Iraq and the middle east, and never did.
Most of them probably wish them all the luck in the world and that their government never got involved.

All these people who despise the West and our culture, our way of life, ought to get out, I don't see them queuing to get in Saudi Arabia and other ME Countries, they don't either want to stay in Turkey, they all aspire to reach the west, they risk life and limb to get to Europe, Saudi Arabia is just across ...the road !

foirst of all i am not rushing to get to the west. secondly i hold you and the west responsible for my being in the west. thirdly next time do not do the bidding for the west by wearing dresses and carrying weapons and ammunition for those who started the cyprus problem. finally stop going about saudi you asshole they are under complete control of the yanks. no bugger off and have another glass of read. you may find it reduces the weight of your conscience and you sleep better and we have some furquine piss. though the amount of problems you have caused how you can sleep at all is unbelievable.

Yes, one does have to wonder why so few rush to saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, etc, or north to Russia, the friend of Syria.

Indeed. Thanks Lordo for posting it and thanks supporttheunderdog for the re-prompt to read it (in my case at least - almost missed myself without that). One thing that struck me and that is not to do with the content at all, is how much 'weight' (authority ? gavitas ? not sure I can find the right word) the Kennedy name still has - for me at least, even through the 'generations'.

on the content let me start by saying that I said recently to someone "the whole thing [syrian war] does just confuse the bollocks off me tbh - who is fighting who - who supports who, who used to support who but now no longer supports whom, who is an ally of someone who is an enemy of the someone the first party is an ally of."

This one single article has bought more 'clarity' to what is going on in Syria currently to me than just about everything else I have seen and read about it to date combined. I say this as a long time 'fan' of the work of Noam Chomsky - so its not like any of the behaviour of the US outlined here shocks or surprised me - but in terms of who the fuck is fighting who and why , this to me was truly a 'enlightening' read. As someone who 'thirsts' to understand - this was like drinking from a fire hose.
