Yeah?
Stupider yet for those who occupied it and routed the residents to permit such a gem to fall into rusted ruin.

Interestingly, what's changed over the last decade or so is the degree of acquaintanceship, in the British public, with the facts of the invasion. Turkey's vile action is consistently (rightly) referred to as an invasion and without leanings to that stupid propaganda term of 'intervention'.

There's a lot more sympathy with the legitimate victims, the Greek Cypriots.

We have been helped in this by the sympathy Greece is attracting and the revelations of the hell-hole Turkey is. The Greek world is finally being seeing as having suffered, victimized by outsiders for too long.

some guy called Supporttheunderdog has just posted this on the comments page

Varosha is but a part of the picture as there is still an occupation force of 40000 Turkish troops controlling 37% of the Island, plus thousands of post 1974 illegal Turkish settlers living on land and property stolen from the lawful Cypriot Owners, with displacement of possible 150,000 Cypriots from their homes. Don' t let Turkey fool you into thinking there was some sort of property exchange. There was not. Turkish troops and post 74 settlers out now.
