EU Com press release re EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan

European Commission - Press release
Managing the Refugee Crisis: Commission reports on implementation of EU-Turkey Joint Action Plan
Brussels, 10 February 2016

http://europa.eu/rapid/press-release_IP-16-268_en.htm

Given the title and use of the word 'report' in it and the body of the text, I guess there might be those that would claim in relation to this EU Commission press release

EU reporting sites are NOT the same as the EU Commission

Well, finally you might accept that the other press release which stated it was under discussion, was for discussion and not an EU POLICY DOCUMENT (idiot).

(Which doubled your lying credentials of claims to tell us the EU commission threatened Greece with sanctions.)

Learn that you do not decide what things are - you have to accept the differences they state.

Bit complex for you, I know.

Meanwhile, kindly stop trashing the forum with your time-wasting obsessive nonsense as it's stopping people posting relevant news:

The leader of Turkey’s pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democracy Party on Tuesday accused Ankara of committing a “massacre”, following reports that scores of civilians had been killed in a military operation against Kurdish rebels in a southeastern town.

Cizre has been under a punishing curfew for six weeks as the Turkish army pursues a relentless campaign against rebels of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK).
The reports say Turkish security forces raided a building in Cizre, killing up to 60 wounded people who had been sheltering there for more than a week. “They committed a massacre in Cizre, and they don’t want to announce it,” Selahattin Demirtas told party lawmakers.

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, a 17-year-old Kurdish teenager was killed in southeastern city of Diyarbakir during clashes between police and protesters demonstrating against the military operations in Cizre, security sources told AFP.

In the real world

An EU commission press release making public a discussion the EU Commission had , past tense, about something. Discussion that is now over and what the results were of their, historic, now concluded discussion

In GiGland

press release which stated it was under discussion, was for discussion

In GiGland

Learn that you do not decide what things are - you have to accept the differences they state.

Real world translation

Learn that I - GiG - decide what things are here on this forum - you have to accept what I state things are or I will bully and scream and insult until you do

News that matters.

The Turkish president’s refusal to entertain any doubts about the course he is pursuing, or its human costs, is chilling. It comes at a time when European countries desperately need Turkey’s help in dealing with the refugee crisis. Europe must continue to seek that help, but we should not therefore close our eyes to those Turkish policies which are counterproductive and dangerous. They are undermining Turkey’s already compromised democracy, and they could widen a war which has already half ruined the region.
The Guardian

BTW - This thread shouldn't be in "General". It's "Politics and EU" [as well as part of the infestation of pro-Turkish propaganda].

Interesting comment in the Guardian:

It's about time something is done regarding Turkey. It's a loose cannon and being a NATO member that can't be good news, for Turkey knows it has the backing of the US if things get nasty with Russia, and it also has the EU grabbed by balls since they are the refugees' way into Europe - if the conflict in Syria drags on they'll be only to happy to further capitalize on their role as "gatekeeper" of Europe to extract further concessions from western leaders. All the while, they're allowed to bomb the Kurds into oblivion, inside and outside their national borders.

Of course because I'm the only one who objects to Turkey's killing of Kurds and dumping of migrants!

Keep protecting Turkey ..... no misrepresentation there.
