As I'm still in full employment at the young age of almost 70 the phones are a necessity nuisance, take this morning for instance, at about 5.30am a customer calls , one of my best, to tell me her bloody interlock broke down last evening!!
The lady is a prime customer so I had to be polite at 5.30am, she knows I'm an early riser and always ..come !
I mentioned it to my daughter in Cyprus and her reply, dad, without a mobile how can we contact you ? The same way I used to contact my dad I replied !! We did come to an arrangement however that my mobile will be turned on weekdays only between 9am to 9.30am and 3pm to 3.30 pm NEVER ON SUNDAY !
Look, I reckon that's a great idea. Get rid of those mobiles and all your computers please!
Cypriots are the GREATEST people on earth, there are Cypriots and there are Plonkers such as you, a non Cypriot.
The most welcoming people on earth to those that deserve a welcome. Easily approachable with tons of filotimo, you PLONKER WOULD NOT KNOW WHAT IT MEANS.
We Cypriots have a sense of humour unequalled by any nation, a sense of duty and commitment to our families and friends, to our elderly relatives who remain with us and not put in institutions, and above all Cypriots live on PARADISE ISLAND.
LONG LIVE CYPRUS THE PARADISE ON EARTH.
