Our constitution dictates there should be no discrimination of Turkish or Greek Cypriots. If you really are Cypriots and want the best for Cyprus why can't you accept the fact that the TC's are here and are Cypriots just like you and live happily side by side? There are negotiations going on as we speak, why not support your President and encourage him for a just and peaceful resolution instead of exerting you energy on telling us TC's how much you hate us and wishing us all to be nuked?

The constitution discriminated against the majority. We all know who that was and is.

When a minority of 18% (does not matter what kind) of the population can veto the remaining 82% on all matters related to governance. You don't have democracy.

When a minority of 18% (does not matter what kind) of the population demands 30% of everything which is more than 50% per head than the remaining 82% of the population. You have discrimination.

The majority are inviting the minority to make economic and human development progress in a free and fair society within the European Union. But they don't want it. They ARGUE and choose to ignore world opinion and promote apartheid.They want Turkish guarantees in Cyprus and for Turkish settlers and all other nationalities that have settled illegally in the north to have precedence over refugees.

The majority are offering relative progress and prosperity but the minority are offering a backwards regime. They are offering to debase everyone with Turks and take everybody backwards and for the majority to pay for it. If the minority really are Cypriots and want the best for Cyprus why can't they say goodbye to Turkey and the settlers and accept democracy and the law with the majority of Cypriots?

They don't so I can only conclude that the minority is "Turkish" and has sh!t for brains. Which is dangerous for the majority if they get their way.

I'm glad you responded B25. You are the reason I started this thread. Your reaction to a young TC man proposing to a young GC girl was what got me thinking how much hatred you have in you for TC's.

I live in Winchmore Hill, north London and it's predominantly GC and TC populated so its difficult to avoid each other. My daughter had a GC boyfriend back in the day (20 years or so ago) and do you know what? Even though I wasn't over the moon about it I certainly wasn't going to disown her if she chose to set up her life with him.

Yo however would disown your own flesh and blood if your daughter chose a TC. Why? Why the hell would anyone with any decency and humanity deprive their most valuable possession the right to make their own choice? How do you know they are not going to be most happy couple in the world? What gives you the right to even bring ethnicity in to the equation?

Thats a silly argument Maximus. A constitution is not like buying a second-hand car and then returning it because of a dodgy clutch. Cyprus got its independence based on the population of Cyprus. TC's were very much in the mix when the constitution was drawn. You will argue a gun was held to your head. Thats bollocks, you agreed to everything in the constitution and that is fact. Saying we have shit for brains and constantly insulting us is hardly going to help the situation, is it?

We are Cypriots and have every right to live in our own country in peace. You are the ones preventing us from doing this and its inhumane.
