...interesting note:

Canada's, the Federal Government's website for Immigration, crashed last night, it was having difficulty with the increased demand today as well; it seems that google has been monitoring the increase for over a week now.

O Lord our God arise,
Scatter Trump's enemies,
And make them fall:
Confound their politics,
Frustrate their knavish tricks,
On Thee our hopes we fix:
God save us all. :D

Welcome to president Trump.

Bye bye, first woman president.

And I bet that was your only criteria.

well, I have no issues with a Woman President. as long as she is capable, then what's the problem with a female President?

The UK has a female PM, The Head of State is also a female.

germany has a female Chancellor.

And Cyprus will end up with a female Pres one day too.

So, americans are stupid and deplorables right now?.
Hillary's arrogance killed her.

No they are not!

Both candidates had their faults.

But I think you need to have a rethink because you are a mysogynist.

And my boy, if you are talking about arrogance and ego, then we have a maverick in Trump.

I accept the result no matter what and respect the choice of the American People. They had their reasons for voting the way they did, and I know it wasn't based on Hillary's gender.

A mysogynist?.
That's reality my friend. American men rejects the idea of a female president. The US is a male dominance country like Cyprus :D

No they don't. Hillary got more votes than Trump did. that's not a rejection of Hillary based on her gender. She got $7% of the popular vote.

In Australia, that would make her PM.

The democrats didn't concentrate enough on the swinging states, and took a couple of others for granted because they considered them sure things. That, and there is a bit of an anti-establishment revolt going on and Hillary is considered part of the Washington insiders establishment.

that's why she lost, not because she was female. Americans are not very sexist I got to say. actually quite a liberated society especially in the cities, but some areas can be quite Conservative and very Evangelical Christian too.

You're right. Rural americans will save their country from the big cities rubbish (leftism, anti-family values, anti-Christianism, etc).

Is that what you call it? Family Values, and Conservatism. Sure if you are into that type of thing but there is nothing better than pluralism of the big American cities and their progress.

You know, Bible Belt Americans are polite, but they are also incredibly basic.

America doesn't need saving. They just need to heal their divisions now and control guns.

America is far more progressive than Cyprus. Americans are also a nicer people.

...it reminds me of Atlantic City, before the Casinos, a friendlier time perhaps, how much i enjoyed visiting one restaurateur on the Boardwalk very early in the morning, sitting in the kitchen reminiscing about Cyprus; but when the doors opened there was no speaking Greek, and there was no "Greek" either, only a Greek American, no not even a Greek American, an American, that served at the counter.

...it is not hard to understand really, an identity, as an Individual, and an identity as a Person, pluralistic as they say, bicommunal.

There is no decadence at all.

It's a brilliant country and very multicultural and pluralist.

They can also be a lot more conservative and a lot more militant Christian than anyone not that this is a good thing either. Big country with all the extremes covered and a great deal of variance from State to State. You have everything there and it's a lot more interesting too.

The Ku Klux Klan are Christian, doesn't mean they are not degenerates just because they believe in God.

But still, Americans are also over the top friendly. You can walk around in Cyprus and no one will talk to you. Walk around in any American city and Americans are just annoyingly very curious and at times annoying because they practically will sit next to you and want to exchange pleasantries and chat.

Ask anyone. Americans are bloody friendly.
