Point taken. On the other hand, Nigel Farage was totally demolished by an intelligent studio audience in a debate a few days before the UK referendum, and shown to be stupid and clueless about everything. So, no complacency, please.

I agree that things are looking good, but the Democrats must not get complacent. Hasn't Trump just brought in a new campaign chief who has a track record of making some pretty unpalatable people, such as Ferdinand Marcos and Mobutu Sese Seko, look palatable?

Trump need to overhaul his brain than getting a bigger team if he wants to stands any chance of winning in November, and past recent history tells us that he cannot change. As the old saying goes, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks".

We know all we need to know about Trump and Hillary and this is all "priced in" into the polls already. All that remains to move the polls further towards Hillary's direction and away from Trump, are the 3 debates between them, where Trump will be shown just how stupid and clueless he is about running a country and politics in general.

At every presidential election cycle, everyone is waiting for the "smoking gun" to be revealed by the candidates in what's know as the "October surprise", which often is all about nothing.

Latest election polls updated September 18th have the two contenders almost neck and neck with Clinton leading by just 2% at 44% to Trump 42% .

The health issues surrounding Clinton have obviously boosted Trumps ratings.

With polls showing almost even chances it is by no means inconceivable that Trump could make it to the White House.

According to the Telegraph The average of the latest 5 polls have Trump ahead at 48.6% to Clinton's 46.8%
A very close race it seems. With some 50 or so days before November 8th, anything can happen, so the race is quite open.

A year ago nobody even considered Trump as the likely next US President, however it now seems that he could be on the road to the White House. Some time back my own prediction was that he would make it to the White House. I must stress that I'm not a supporter of Trump but a mere observer.
