Donald Trump will be the next US President, winning by a narrow margin. He was after all written off as a big joke on entering the race for the Republican nomination. He has surprised many by winning comfortably the Republican nomination.

I think you are right with the outcome but I see many of Bernie Sanders votes swinging to Trump, especially the young people. The Establishment made a big mistake! They thought Trump was a joke and he would fizzle out. He didn’t because he gauged the feelings of the people and capitalised on it. He is saying what many Americans feel and fear, and it is working. No one can stop his funding or pull his support. The man is very cleaver at ‘working’ his audience, there must be many Bernie supporters who wish he had been more like Trump.

I watched/listened to his acceptance address and I do not agree with everything he said but he had some good points to push ...... he may find it more difficult to implement them if he gets to the White House. One thing I will make a prediction on is that if he does start to roll back the corruption in the seat of power and on Wall Street ..... he will be dead within months!!!!!! :o

Also ..... if you go back in history and look at revolutions by the people (Say the French Revolution) the US politics and the resentment of the people against the established pecking order, seems to have all the hallmarks of the build up a conflict between the people and the Establishment (US Royalty)?
Clinton, though ahead of most polls, does carry a lot of baggage that could get a lot more evident in a few months time. Im by no means implying that I support Trump, merely commenting on his chances of becoming the next US President. Americans are not entirely happy with mainstream politicians, many issues facing the US and they see Trump as one that can resolve many of these issues, not least the illegal immigrants.

I agree with that view. I do not like Clinton as a person. It seems difficult for interviewers on TV to find anyone that even likes Clinton .... as you say she has baggage ..... she should also be pending a trial? I think she is a war monger and a mouthpiece for the Establishment, the banking and financial system and Wall Street. I remember reading stories about her as First Lady .... she was despised by most of the White house staff and at all levels, none more so than the Secret Service agents who she detested. (Maybe because they knew what was going behind the closed door of the Oval office???? ) The staff were in fear of her and she fired people for little or no reason.

I don’t think she has changed and power will make her even worse ..... once unleashed this woman would be a disaster for the USA. :x

"Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton running neck-and-neck in New Hampshire: poll "

" Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are statistically tied in New Hampshire after Mrs. Clinton had led by nearly 20 points three months ago, according to a poll released Thursday."
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... -and-neck/

From a " joke" , Donald Trump seems to be making huge advances in the race to the White House. Being 20% behind Clinton just 3 months ago he is now neck and neck in NH. Other states might also show similar poll results. Trump is no longer seen as a joke but a strong contender for the US presidency.

" Donald Trump bounces into the lead "
" Donald Trump comes out of his convention ahead of Hillary Clinton in the race for the White House, topping her 44% to 39% "
http://edition.cnn.com/2016/07/25/polit ... nton-poll/

Not that long ago Trump was trailing behind Clinton , she was ahead by almost 20 points.
