For me Cypriot food is the BEST BY FAR.

I love all dishes, from koutcia, revithkia, fasolia, fatchi , all our unique soups like trahana and avgolemoni, our wonderful souvla, kleftiko, grilled halloumi, and above all ...Ameletita on the BBQ.

Strange how living away for over half a century, married to an English woman for so long, deep inside me,my Cypriot tastes have remained intact. As the say, you can take a Cypriot out of Cyprus but you can not take Cyprus out of a Cypriot.
Cant wait for next Thursday, I keep dreaming of Karaolous in olive oil and lemon, of Stroumbiotika loukanina, lounza even a little lardi on the tsiminia!!!

I love cooking and absolutely adore Cypriot food.

Some time back, quite by accident, I discovered a recipe for halloumi, not just fried, grilled or grated over pasta but Steamed halloumi with chopped up garlic and parsley. A delicious way to eat this unique to Cyprus cheese. If anyone fancies trying it out I will gladly give the recipe, free of charge of course.

My kid brother, at only 67 years old, arrived from Limassol yesterday with his wife to spend Xmas here in London !!!
Brought me a couple of Stroumbi halloumi and cooked karaolous, oh boy did I have a feast last night. !!
