My goodness will Turkey never stop invading neighbours!?

Iraq orders Turkey to 'immediately' withdraw troops sent across border

Prime minister’s office says the deployment of an armoured regiment ‘is considered a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty’
Saturday 5 December 2015
Iraq has told Turkey to “immediately” withdraw forces, including tanks and artillery, it has deployed in the country’s north without Baghdad’s consent, the office of the prime minister, Haider al-Abadi, said on Saturday.

“The Iraqi authorities call on Turkey to ... immediately withdraw from Iraqi territory,” the statement said.

“We have confirmation that Turkish forces, numbering about one armoured regiment with a number of tanks and artillery, entered Iraqi territory ... allegedly to train Iraqi groups, without a request or authorisation from Iraqi federal authorities,” it said.

The deployment “is considered a serious violation of Iraqi sovereignty”, it added.

They are there with Americas blessing (and most probably orders).

The way the Turks and the US are going there is bound to be a WWIII coming very soon.

God help us all.

From what I gathered in other forums, they are pretty much trying to capture a city before the Kurds capture it.

it has all ways been about who will gain what out of war. The oil fields have been bombed by a couple of British jets which are alleged to be funding the terrorist campaign. Those oil fields will eventually be controlled by another entity and will supply the Brits with cheap oil.

We are now seeing the true reason why the uk and Americans destroyed Iraq. Our price of petrol has dropped and is continuing to drop.why would that be ?

They're still there! :!:

Iraq’s foreign ministry has summoned the Turkish ambassador to demand that Turkey immediately withdraw hundreds of troops deployed to northern Iraq, near the Islamic State controlled city of Mosul.

The ministry said on Saturday that the Turkish forces had entered Iraqi territory without the knowledge of the central government in Baghdad, and that Iraq considered such presence “a hostile act”.

Turkey has in recent months been bombing Kurdish militant positions in northern Iraq.

Invaded on a pretext, set to stay - Turkey in Cyprus all over again!

Turkey said on Monday it would not withdraw hundreds of soldiers who arrived last week at a base in northern Iraq, despite being ordered by Baghdad to pull them out within 48 hours.
The sudden arrival of such a large and heavily armed Turkish contingent in a camp near the frontline in northern Iraq has added yet another controversial deployment to a war against Islamic State fighters that has drawn in most of the world's major powers.
Ankara says the troops are there as part of an international mission to train and equip Iraqi forces to fight against Islamic State. The Iraqi government says it never invited such a force, and will take its case to the United Nations if they are not pulled out.
Washington, which is leading an international coalition against Islamic State that includes Turkey, Arab states and European powers like Britain and France, has told Ankara and Baghdad to resolve the standoff, and says it does not support deployments in Iraq without Baghdad's consent.

Turkey - get out of Iraq and get out of Cyprus!

there is only one answer bbf. the terggish soldier numbers have goneup to a division. if the iraqies do not stop asking the terggs to leave the numbers will go up to 50 thousand. you would think the iraqies would have learnt from the mistakes of the gcs. some pibol never learn.
