To be honest it's adding another layer of confusion. What do you mean when you say you "talk to your office through voip simply by dialing an extension number"?
When using skype from my cell I simply open the skype-app and make a call (decent internet connection provided) by either dialing the number or choosing the contact. I don't understand what you mean by dialing an extension number.
Sorry if I've confused you. When I open my Sip Softphone app it behaves as though I'm physically in my office. We have 7 extensions (200-207) I simply dial one of the extensions, ie 205 to talk. To talk to my mother I dial the whole number
including the international code and that call costs me 1p.
I'm of the belief that since I'm using a Cypriot service provider if there were restrictions I would not be able to do this. Check out the Sip Softphone app on line. It's really impressive and never fails.
Know what? I'm not sure if I actually need to add the international code, can't remember. Old age catching up at a rapid speed
You wouldn't need the International code, because you are calling out from the UK.

Yes CBBB, you're absolutely right. I am so pleased I'm now using voip. I would never have thought about voip if it wasn't for one of my customers listening in on my conversation regarding an order for a new exchange box and phones with BT. I was about to place my order for around £1500.00 when he said hang up and tell them you'll call them back. He told me about voip and Snom phones that would cost a fraction of BT equipment. I installed voip 3 days after that. I love it and would not think of using anything else in my office. As I mentioned earlier monthly bills from around a £1000 a month down to £50-£100 and I'm in full control, diverting calls, withholding caller ID etc etc.
