Yeah, because if NATO interests are threatened, they can't just fabricate a pretext and throw themselves in the fight.

You see, this is an example of someone who does not know what they are talking about.

NATO does not have interests! Countries have and in NATO, the European countries outnumber the USA making NATO a mostly European affair. Oh well, there is no antidote against the stupidity of the masses!

Everyone needs to remember the founding principles of NATO.

if he is the supreme commander in chief he should be done for dereliction of duty. instead of protecting his own country he send troops to bomb the hell out of civilians in syria. gawd help him when the muslims of russia turn against him. the russian population will not know what hit them.

In Europe they talk about "the war between Islam and the West". In Russia they talk about "the war of Russia AND Iran against U.S. funded terrorist groups".

Turkey shooting down the Russian jet is all beginning to make sense now.
