Once again, it seems Turkey are protecting IS-held territories.
which bit of they violated terggish airspace are you having difficulty understanding. in any case this is terggoman territory if you want to label it. son to be joined with terggy democratically of course.
That remains to be seen. The fact is that Turkey shot down a plane that was a threat ONLY to IS. Turkey is therefore protecting IS.
This proves how much Turkey is in bed with IS.
If Putin would like to extend his fly-overs to the north of Cyprus and destroy that "Turkish Islamic State" illegally setup on our lands, he is 100% welcome!
More Power to Putin - and I pray for those pilots.

In fact, I hope the pilots are safe in Turkey because I don't want to hear of their beheading or be burnt alive. Absolutely atrocious that would be.
In fact, Pootin should ask the Americans or Australians for assistance and an emergency rescue of their boys. The Americans and Australians have the specialist troops to insert behind enemy lines, track down the Russians and extricate them.
The troops can be there in no time at all with appropriate air cover and Helicopters.
I am sure both America and Australia will assist. The SAS will be perfect for this kind of job.
There's a very sketchy report that one of the pilots is dead and the other has been captured by Turkmen fighters (who have been engaging against Assad regime forces of late). The picture on the following page is purportedly that of the dead airman, but it doesn't look very clear to me.

Just end any gas dealings with the Turks, put embargo on Turkish products in Russia and end direct flights of commercial aircraft from Russia to Turkey. The effects on Turkey will be us bad as if they were hit by a nuke.

Russia need only *immobilize* the Turkish Air Force. That would do nicely ...

The effects on Russia would be worse because Turkey is one of only a few willing to trade with Russia!

Cyprus, Greece and other EU countries would be more than happy to trade with Russia. They can send most of their tourists our way also. Putin embargoed the whole EU ... so not a problem for him to do the same and more against Turkey.
