They were probably tracking the paths of ISIS oil tanker trucks

Many incursions were over the black sea region and its been reported that isis is not present in the region where the plane was downed. But even if they were tracking trucks, why pursue them into Turkish airspace. Makes no sense.

I am not defending Turkey I am just trying to find logic in Russias actions

Look at the flight path Turkey released of the Russian plane buddy, Russia did not "pursue" them in to Turkish territory.

Perhaps you can then tell us the logic of why Russia shouldn't track ISIS trucks smuggling oil to Bilal Erdogan.

Is it even logical to give 10 warnings in 17 seconds and also have time to give the order to shoot, let alone give the pilot time to respond? All Turkish chutzpah....

Ok let's accept on this occasion your right, what off all the other occasions. Also I wasn't aware that the Russians have claimed they were pursuing Trucks. I would be interested in reading abt that. What's the source?

By the way before you start telling me to fuck off I am simply answering your question. I don't agree with those incursions but at least they can be explained. They are well documented. Russia's cannot, they have no territorial claims. No dispute with Turkey? True some may have been in error but not all 114.

Well maybe Russia wants to start claiming Turkish territory now... gotta start at some stage eh!

Well that would explain it. But again no evidence of that.

They can only be explained with chutzpah, which does not make it a valid explanation. The Aegean is clearly Greek Sovereign territory. only dumbos cant understand that.

I agree but like it or not that is what Turkey uses to justify its incursions. Still does not explain Russia's motives

I'm just making an assumption.

I can also for example assume that they were tasked with patrolling the Syrian border.

It makes sense, but it's just an assumption.
