One thing you have to know, is that there is a lot of bad blood between the West and Russia, and Pootin reminds us of the Cold War. It's not anything the West has done. Pootin has been escalating these bad feelings for a couple of years now. Ordinarily, things may have gone well.

What shocks me is how an intelligent and level headed person like you is supporting Pootin. I can understand Cypriots on this forum supporting him. Mental Health seems to be a big issue as well as naivety on Cyprus Forum. But YOU supporting Pootin has me stumped.

I am impressed at your knowledge. A Rate 1 turn takes 2 minutes to complete through 360 degrees. When you are doing about 600+ knots, that is 10nms per minute. So in a minute, the time it takes for a fighter to turn 180 degrees, the fighter would have traveled more than 10 nms = 18.5 kms.

So the Russian Jet can be as far as 6 kms inside Turkish Airspace in 20 seconds, and that is significant enough to have even overflown Turkish Towns in the area.

But I simply have no clue why YOU of all people support Pootin and support him bombing minority groups and other factions in Syria aside from DAESH.

I tell you a true little story.

Once I had flown into Restricted Airspace accidentally. I was flying around its boundary and using Dead Reckoning to navigate - map to ground features and I was following a little Creek Bed. I was right on the boundary.

But when I got back, I was hauled in and given a warning because apparently I had violated the Airspace by about 100m.

The Restricted Area was assigned to the Australian Army and was a live fire range for artillery and missiles.
