Unfortunately, this is the sort of behaviour we saw in Cyprus when they killed Tassos Isaak - kicking and beating a man when he's down. Luckily for the footballer, the referee was there to stop this brute.

Cynically hacked down by Sanayispor's Mehmet Değirmenci, the Dallıcaspor man was then brutally kicked in the face by the same player as he lie on the ground.

The incredible incident took place when Dallıcaspor took on Sanayispor in the Nazilli district of Turkey's western Aydın province.

Değirmenci was escorted from the pitch as all hell broke loose and has now been sacked by the club.

Karakaş carried on playing after treatment but later collapsed and had to go to hospital.

He has now decided to press charges, and said: "Thank God that kick came near my jaw. If it had hit me directly in the face, it could have broken my nose, made me blind or broke my neck."YahooNews
