It looks like old "LikassAkis" is on the prowl again !.

In biblical terms:- when one person wishes to curry favour from another, one needs to become something of a "Fisher of Men".

In the case of this old arse licker, if he is not "Fishing", he is "Mending his nets".

I liked the joke erolz66 posted [very appropriate really] but I think the rest of his posts are a load of old bollocks.

As to "True Cypriots", how would "LikassAkis" know one ?, he has spent the greater part of his life posing as an Englishman and has even joined forces with the enemies of Cyprus, actually lauding the destruction of it and other nations in close proximity to it. 8)

Even your Turkish site writes:

1,200 - 1,000 BC - Establishment of the city states of Salamis (capital at the time), Soli, Marion, Paphos, Kurium, and Kyrenia; arrival of Greek colonies

yeah because referring to people as 'black cunts' is not 'true' racism.

There are varying degrees of racism just like there are varying degrees of illegality... parking where you are not allowed is not the same as mass murder of innocent people. You remind me of a corrupt policeman that goes after the petite criminals while the mafia commits mass murders in front of his eyes. It is not enough for the policeman to answer when asked "yes, mass murders are a crime".

...indeed, i am not, not "Turk", and that is the gist of it. And, by being Greek, I/i am not "Greek" (or "Turk" for that matter).

This is the issue.

...what has been questioned as "institutionalised racism", is this state, the illegal TRNC, because it does not seek to represent anything more than what can be defined as "Turkishness"; this i think their failing.

Cyprus exists.

...I look forward to the day where Cyprus can flourish, where Cypriots are united toward bettering the island, as they do their own lives. Where they recognise and respect an ethnography, and as Cypriots seek to sustain its diversity so that it can grow. Think carefully, at the crossroad, facilitator of exchange, what Cypriots have as a Heritance by remembering what they were before "being" an Ottoman, and/or British backwater, very Cosmopolitan as a matter of fact, even if at the time of Independence, without a set of asphalt roads that crossed the island, no water, but from wells, in my village at least. Things change quickly. It seems not so hard to imagine, with the stroke of a pen, as a gesture of Goodwill, to return what is unused and abandoned, Varosha could be rebuilt in no time, as a ghost town, forgotten. The point is, what can be. Now or forty years from now it is still a good idea if as property it is returned to the rightful owner as Justice seen to their satisfaction, anything is possible, i suppose that 50 years of water could pay some part of it, or it can be wasted on cucumbers for the "Turkish" market, it seems that Cypriots who are Turcophone have little to say about that having been made a minority in the occupied north demographically speaking. It is for Turkey to choose, to withdraw. For now their Ambassador acts as though he is the agent of the winning party in a war, nothing is done if he disapproves. I remind you again, only the Flag of Cyprus has for Cypriots a meaning beyond what is a Greek Flag and the Turkish Flag. No where is there a better opportunity to demonstrate the Grace that is needed by others, like Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Israel, which come to mind who as Persons need the same guidance to have the confidence as Individuals to appreciate that their wealth is their diversity. Where is the world going to so quickly (and in English), ask yourself who stands to gain by keeping Cypriots apart? ...anyway, blah blah blah, i'm justn too lazy to reread this paragraph, so f you dare deal with it.

What is unnatural is the way we have been divided.

What is unnatural, to me at least, is that we allow for the sake of argument the victims of murder, and the missing, to be identified as "Greek", or "Turkish", when in fact they are Cypriots, murdered by "Greeks" and "Turks".

"What is unnatural is the way we have been divided"

A very profound sentence RW. I entirely share your sentiment. As a Cypriot I can not bring my self in hating other Cypriots. I detest the continued occupation of our northern parts by Turkey and I firmly believe that the vast majority of T/Cs do also.
Given the right atmosphere good will and cooperation can bring us together as one people.

Right here on this forum there are a number of Cypriots, Turkish speaking, who have on many occasions expressed their Cypriotness.

M,( MR-FROM) for one, a Cypriot that I have met a few times here in London, Deniz a dear friend and also a good Cypriot, Erolz, though I have not met, I see him as a true Cypriot and I respect his views. The list is endless, many more that are not contributors to this forum, my dear friend " John" now in Kyrenia whom I see almost every day and share a chat and a laugh.

As Cypriots we can progress and move to a new era devoid of hatred and animosity, first we must all embrace our very own motherland the beautiful Sweet Sunny Cyprus, the greatest nation on earth.

Yes, drunks, the elderly and autistic people are all the same to him and fair game for his derision.
