And you do? You are Greek from Greece. You want Cyprus gifted to Greece and you have the audacity to question Erols identity? You need to start behaving like a human instead of a preprogrammed machine, a machine that spews out rubbish and hatred towards TC's.

Continuous destruction of Cyprus` cultural heritage must stop, says Omirou
CYPRUS - FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE•Wednesday, 28 October, 2015
President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou has denounced the continuous destruction of Cyprus` cultural heritage by Turkey.
Addressing a conference of the Subcommittee of Culture, Heritage and Diversity of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), that takes place in the coastal town of Limassol in Cyprus, Omirou said that since the Turkish invasion against Cyprus in 1974 and the continuous occupation of 37% of the island`s territory, for four decades now there is a systematic destruction of archaeological monuments and churches in the occupied areas.
For four decades now we watch the destruction of our unique cultural heritage by Turkey, he stressed and referred to the efforts to repatriate artefacts of Cypriot heritage which were stolen and sold abroad.
Referring to the Cyprus problem, he said that the final goal should be the unification of Cyprus and its people in the framework of a viable and lasting solution.
He also spoke about the flagrant violation of human rights and fundamental freedoms since the Turkish invasion against Cyprus in 1974.
He also said that despite the fact that the Cyprus problem remains unresolved, the protection of Cyprus` cultural heritage remains a common goal of all Cypriots, Greek Cypriots, Turkish Cypriots, Armenians, Maronites and Latins.
The 1974 Turkish invasion of Cyprus and the subsequent occupation of the island have taken a heavy toll on Cyprus’ cultural heritage, despite existing internationally binding treaties regarding the protection of cultural heritage.
The damage is grave and in many cases, irreversible. The occupied museums have been looted and so have many private collections of antiquities. Churches have been vandalized; ecclesiastical icons and vessels stolen, church frescoes and mosaics have been removed and in many cases have been traced in Europe’s illegal antiquities trade markets and in auctions around the world.
The most serious and large-scale damage has been noted on the islands’ occupied churches. Some of the churches have even been demolished, others pillaged and some are currently being used as stables, mosques or as part of military camps.

Cyprus is Greek and has been for thousand of years. My being Greek and being Cypriot is one and the same. The incongruity is the Turk in Cyprus. The Turk in Cyprus kills and destroys!Continuous destruction of Cyprus` cultural heritage must stop, says Omirou
