In what appears to be an absolutely disgusting event both Greek and Turkish Cypriots were brought together as one people to celebrate their racism against foreigners.

Are there really not more Cypriots out there than can just say 'what B25 said is racist claptrap' or something similar and WITHOUT a 'but' follow up ? Really ? And if not what does this say about all of us as Cypriots together and racism in Cyprus generally ? Are we really so locked into this decades old animosity between ourselves as TC and GC that we would rather ignore or excuse away or try and deflect from such language that is so blatantly indicative of a racist mind set, rather than just condemn it, without reservation, regardless of which community the person who said it might be from ?

Except for when he used it as the term 'black cunt' in reference to a black guy who had his leg broken by RoC police whilst being stopped in the street by them. Sorry but this is exactly the kind of 'excusing' of racism that leads to its continuance, here on this forum and in general. It is just a fact that B25 used the term 'black cunt' here on this forum. At the time few condemn such use of a clearly racist term, quite a few sought to 'defend' it's use - trying to claim he had used it in reference to people in a video committing horrible atrocities, when in fact he used the term in reference to an innocent man, legally in Cyprus, who on being stopped by police had his leg broken.

This thread is about racism in Cyprus. I have suggested in this thread about racism in Cyprus that one of the reasons it persists here on this forum and in general, is that too often too few people here are willing to condemn blatantly racist remarks. I used an example the thread where you chose to describe people as 'black cunts' and how few people were willing to condemn such a blatantly racist post by yourself but instead sought to find 'excuses' for you saying it and turn it into an argument about the 'Cyprus problem' to distract from that blatant racism. This example thread that I use, and your blatantly racist remark in it are not exceptional or atypical for this forum. It is indicative and illustrative of a consistent pattern of behaviour here, where racism is excused or ignored and distracted from using the excuse of the Cyprus problem as one of the main tools in doing so.
