I'm a mixture of Cypriot and Jamaican and am so tired of the racism I receive in my second home!

I for one would love to hear your views on all manner of subjects, not just racism. Racism and Cyprus is a complex issue. For example, did you know that Cyprus is a member of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Liberation Organisation. As a former British colony (in fact they still keep some of their colonial land as army bases) Cyprus played a not insignificant role in the global liberation movement. So why the racism? The following "White" propaganda study is informative:

The country with the highest proportion of 'intolerant' people who wanted neighbours similar to them was Jordan, where 51.4 per cent of the population would refuse to live next to someone of a different race.

Next was India with 43.5 per cent.

Racist views are strikingly rare in the U.S., according to the survey, which claims that only 3.8 per cent of residents are reluctant to have a neighbour of another race.

So is India really more racist than the U.S.? Now it is likely that people in Western countries are too scared to admit their racism, but the results are informative. Is racism about global power structures or is it about individual human interaction? I have even heard some Rastas say that "Black racism" should been seen as a positive thing as opposed to "White racism". Don't get me wrong, you deserve to be treated well by all Cypriots and embraced as one of our own, but in my opinion it's not so simple to say that Cypriots are racist, bad mannered maybe, but certainly nothing compared to the power structures of the elites.

That’s the problem with interracial marriages… the kids unfortunately pay the price handed down by society.

You may want to consider moving to a more modern neutral European country that has lots of interracial people where you’ll just be one of the crowd.

The conundrum raised here is that by singling out Cypriots as racist, you're proving yourself to be one too. You are discriminating.
