Why not step back and look at the Syria problem again?

Paphitis: There is little point in countering your many previous proclamations of US actions as you are convinced they are far superior to any other nation or nations. However, I would say to you ........

Goebels said:

If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

You fell for it as have millions of others! Goebels was the master of propaganda and he was right. In the modern world Main Stream Media (MSM) is the worst source for facts. The first casualty of war is TRUTH! You need to LOOK for the truth as it is inevitably hidden and often, hidden in full view.

You disputed Obama’s arrogance ......... you were wrong.

Obama said on ..... FOX News 30th June 2015. “That is why America is the one essential nation, one exceptional nation, the one indispensable nation. It is why the American Dream is admired by our friends and foes alike. And that is why I am proud to be an American.”

As for Syria ..................

Reading through the following I see Assad giving more and more concessions. The more he gave the greater the violence and the stiffer his resistance to it. Whilst WikiPedia is not a definitive source it is a broader representative version of events than the narrow version from the US media machine.

Timeline of the Syrian Civil War (January–April 2011)

Now a broader look at events with the benefit of hindsight. “That the United States got involved in Syria in 2006 is revealed in WikiLeaks. That the Pentagon was intent on overthrowing the Syrian government in 2001 is revealed by the Donald Rumsfeld memo shown to Wesley Clark, and by Tony Blair in 2010.”

This was mentioned in today’s ‘Daily Mail’ but without any further explanation of the reason why! This gives the background not covered in the MSM.

Another just intervention by the US .... that made a difference! What the US led ‘democratisation’ of Libya did to the lives and future of the ordinary Libyan ....... or ........ a quick lesson in how to create a failed state. This is what the US is trying to do in Syria ...... thank goodness the Russians eventually woke up and are now turning events. Common sense says ....... FIRST ..... stop the violence (i.e. take out the rebels .... all of them) then deal with Assad in the UN and the ICC if a case is established. Just get rid of Assad and you will have Libya Mk.II. The Russians have now realised that this is a creeping cancer that will eventually affect them.

Yes Russia is very weak in comparison. We just have a phase where a former KGB agent is still having wet dreams on the Soviet Union's glory.

Assad will lose 100% You can't keep suppressing the population and get away with it and his chooks are home to roost.

Don't worry about China. Australia is able to get China begging for bail outs within 2 months if it wanted to. The entire Chinese economy is fueled by Australia.

No need to discuss your same old drivel, koala.

Instead, have a look at Israel's reaction. Something shitty is about to happen...

Hollow minds like Paphitis is why America has been ejected from the world stage both financially (by China) and militarily (by Russia).

We are witnessing the beginning of the end of the US and the world will never be the same again and thank God for that!

Hyperbole! It didn't take long for someone to mention the Nazis! You know what they say RH!

You lost me when you mentioned Geobbels and I stopped reading right there.

Here are the facts RH in order to get this conversation back on track.

The coalition is fighting DAESH in Iraq and Syria. Our policy has achieved positive results in Iraq however, the situation in Syria has been undermined by Pootin. If there is no political solution soon, then the war in Syria will go on for many years!

Reality will hit you sooner or later.

No one is going to sort anyone out. Money talks and bullshit walks.

China will look after its interests, and they are dependent on Australian Resources.

Kurupetos said that China will join somekind of war against the USA. It's not going to happen.

Someone mentioned debt but debt is a 2 way street. You see, it is not just about the USA owing China but China too owes Billions to many countries including the USA and Australia. Check it out for yourself.

Further to this, the Chinese economy is largely dependent on Australian Resources. Relations between Australia and China couldn't be better, so don't bet on China doing squat!

Remember when you were posting propaganda about Chinese Ships and Troops deploying to Syria? That was all rubbish and didn't happen. So I advise you to look at the quality and credibility of your links.

Not only this, but the TPA will be expanded to include China in the next expansion phase. That means that China will eventually join our trade block and have already signed a FTA with the USA and Australia. Everyone is looking to expand trade relations, not start wars.
