Until he realizes the GCs WILL NOT COMPENSATE themselves for their own properties so that some trashy settlers from Turkey and Britain and some other crooks among the TCs will take them for free, there will be no solution.

As for the Hydrocarbons has he asked the Israelis and they accepted to pass their gas through Turkey?? He knows the Cypriot gas is not enough.

Funny he referred to the Temin su projesi as well.: Quoting him verbatim: IF this project successful, and IF sustainable....

You didn't even watch Akinci's speech. He stressed that according to the TC SIDE they would like the property issue to be solved MAINLY and he stressed MAINLY through compensations. As he said he found great enthusiasts at the UN who would be willing to give him the money.

One of those enthusiasts was my granny. She would give him 2 Euros :P :P :P :P

english is not his first language. he has already said the commission will determine who gets what of the 3 choices. the crietia will be the tcs are majority in the north. the commision will have equal number of gcs and tcs. what more do you want.

...in any case, what is needed, if the Republic is to continue to exist is a Greek Constituency, Cypriot Constituencies to be precise.

For there to be a Cyprus, a Greek Cyprus, and a Turkish Cyprus, three governing bodies (at least) must exist.

For there to be Liberty, the benefit Persons obtain for themselves, as Persons, must be Free. For there to be Freedom these Persons must be willing to respect and recognise that this Freedom, their Liberty, is secured as Individuals, without any other distinction or discrimination, willing to defend each other.

Truly, Bicommunal has nothing to do with "Greeks" and "Turks", but our lives as Persons, and, as Individuals: this is the Problem.

...Mr. Akinci would be wise to ask, why not Cypriot Constituencies, why not an Ethnos, a Cyprus exists, don't Cypriots, in these terms, have more than "Greekness", or "Turkishness", to sustain?

it will be rw. what will not be allowed is gcs flood the north and take control. surely you cant disagree with that. the whole point of bbf is to give tcs a chance to govern themselves.

...i suppose if the Turkish Constituency, like the Greek Constituency served electors within territorial jurisdictions, (by spotting the geography with 'enclaves') island wide, then it would be possible to expect that over time there will be an osmosis if you will, where, even if the population does not represent a vast majority that are ethnically Turkish, the electors as dwellers will still have the capacity to sustain themselves as Turkish Cypriots (and vice versa).

You cannot imagine, Lordo, a mono-clonal society, once the doors to Cyprus were opened by the Modern Age, that possibility was over, for "Greeks", and for "Turks". As it is today, Greek is not the threat to Turkish, in Cyprus, English is a larger threat to both. It is exactly as I said. Cyprus has an Ethnos worth defending, and it is as Cypriots that we will succeed in sustaining more than one identity, because with Bicommunality, we recognise the importance of our lives as Individuals, and the importance of our lives as Persons.

...the "gcs" as you call them will not flood the north, there will be Cypriots with good intentions that will find their choices compelling. Speak Turkish, or Greek (first), and English, and many other languages.

There will be a great deal of prosperity, what with the potential that will now be realizable, with Free Movement people will adapt as they are apt to do, for the better.
