Where the hell is Anastasiades? He should be the first to be visiting Hollande, and requesting meetings with Obama, Turnbull, Cameron, and a few others.

You have a country under occupation, and you guys are sleeping.

Just be good boys and girls and make it known that you're willing to offer the coalition every support because right now they don't even know you exist.

No need for Annastasiades to go anywhere mate. You see despite this being an island with 800k souls in it we are that strategic in the world stage that within 30 days we've had a visit from the foreign secretary of Germany, the foreign secretary of the UK is up next and straight after him John Kerry (think you know who he is) will be visiting our President.

This is a normal month for us mate.

That is because you had the beggars can out mate and needed a bail out!

Otherwise they wouldn't even waste their time.

But it is little excuse for Anastasiades not making any effort to visit the USA, UK, Germany, Australia, Canada etc etc and have high level meetings with them.

Cyprus needs them (Cyprus Problem), but they don't need you. They don't need Cyprus as a Strategic location because they got many more to choose from in the ME and Turkey. Turkey manipulates this to its benefit and gains a lot of mileage. Plus they are always in our face but no one even knows who Anastasiades is.
You can use the 800k minnow excuse if you want, but in reality its just a cop out, and Anastasiades should be out in every one's face. Almost to the point of being a bit of a pest.

Can't really blame you for not understanding the geopolitics of the region but just as an FYI. Annastasiades meets with the EU HEads of state on a monthly and sometimes bi-monthly basis. Australia unfortunately cannot have that kind of access because its on a different planet to the western world. (Although i guess you probably do meet up with the Kiwi head of state every week and share a coconut.) Our President met with Obama last month in the US and just this month he has been in ISrael with Bibi Nenanyahou, Palestine with Abbas and Jordan with the King as an intermediate for the EU and the US. Oh yeah..he was in 10 Downing Street with Cameron last month as well.

Stuff that in your didgeridoo and smoke it.

Not that I am bragging mate, but Obama is on the phone with Australian PM on a daily basis. Yes, we cant help being so influential.

Anastasiades meets up with Greek Head of State and shares a sovlaki which is all you are known for mate!

So you just leave the Geopolitics of the Middle East to America, Russia, France, Australia, Canada, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Jordon, QATAR, Turkey, UAE and UK who are the only one's making any noise and make sure you got some Tsatziki sauce on that Greek souvlaki of yours.

Fair dinkum no one even knows you exist mate! Oh and yes, New Zealand has about 1000 times more influence than Cyprus mate. It is one of the 5 powers/eyes (Echelon)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ECHELON

So I wouldn't mention New Zealand if I were you, because they have the ability to tap every signal coming from Cyprus and there is NOTHING you can do about it! They can even see the colour of your sovrako from 400 kms away in orbit. How do you think they found out Makarios was gay?

Plus, I don't think New Zealand is renowned for its coconuts mate. They might enjoy a Greek Souvlaki though along with Anastasiades!

At the very least mate, Australian PM is good enough for some Kebabs with Turkish PM.

Meanwhile, Anastasiades shares a Greek souvlaki with Tsibras!

:? oh dear...touched a nerve!

One word mate....EU Head of State. I think you'll find in the worlds protocol list we outrank you anywhere. Us and our partners who meet up on a regular basis do however think Australia has a role to play in preserving the environment. Especially the work you guys need to do for the Great Barrier Reef. Other than that, the EU will let you know if we need you for anything else. If you're lucky the message might be given by the Presidents of the Republic's undersecretary.

Let me show you how this works. You guys are currently being visited by Prince Charles. (your country does belong to him after all) Here's a link about him playing with a baby in Australia.

While we get the UK foreign Secretary Hammond on an official visit

See the difference Paphiti? You're a ceremonial holiday place while we have work to do with our EU and US partners here in the region.

No nerves touched mate.

No one particularly cares about the EU Presidency mate. It's just a figurehead and if you really think it is that important, well then Australia has a regular stint on the UN Security Council mate, and is also invited to attend ALL NATO summits as an Associate Member mate even though its not an official member of NATO it is still expected that Australia will respond to any European Defence Requirements should they arise in the future. Australia is also one of China's closest friends mate, with regular Heads of State meetings on a yearly basis mate.

So no worries, you think whatever you want but Australia is a 2 Trillion Dollar economy and has the highest GDP in the world, but if you think either Cyprus and Greece has any influence or anything remotely close enough to Australia, which is a G20 economy, then good luck to you mate.

The shit you guys are smoking in Cyprus must be potent stuff is all I got say.

And no mate, when you refer to Royalty in the Australian Context you are actually referring to the Australian Crown. Australia does not belong to him at all.

Australia has closer relations with USA than Britain these days.
