Shame your supporting these rebels groups re Paphitis. Look at who supports and arms them. Turkey, saudi, Qatar. They are Islamist dictatorships with poor human rights records. And supporting these 'savory' characters, we have the unconvincing US and some EU nincompoops, that would have you believe they are all fighting for the democratic rights of Syrians and to oust the "tyrant butcher" Assad?

Seems like you will support and defend anyone, even Erdogan or some jihadist's if they oppose to Russia. For what reason?

Don’t waste your time with the forum clown and Turkish appeaser who just repeated exactly what we said except he stretched it out to 5 paragraphs to make it appear “different” and "serious"!

I know, why doesn't Turkey withdrew her 40k troops that are illegally occupying Cyprus to defend herself, instead of NATO sending 40k troops to Turkey to defend her?

They are still pulling out the patriots and the German defence minister's comments suggest that Turkeys air force is capable of intercepting Russian fighter jets....... and missiles. Yeah right.

Oh they are capable alright so don't you worry about that!

I support the Syrian People Max!

This all started by Syrians wanting to rid themselves of a tyrant. Far too many have died to just accept going back to that Status Quo so willy nilly. Syrians deserve better. It's their country not Assad's.

Some of these Rebel Groups like the FSA are the voice of the people.

So what are your serious thoughts on the Air Defence Shield then?

Do you deny that you claimed that NATO withdrew the Patriot System (despite Turkey having its own Patriots) because they wanted to avoid confrontation with Russia?

Did you read the joint declaration of NATO?

There is an insightful analysis of Putin here:

I am struck by the similarity between his and Erdoğan's situation. They are both crooks who have to stay in power at all costs or else face the music.

The rebel groups are not the voice of the people, not by a long shot. You cling to this however independent polls have shown that Assad has majority support from the Syrian people. Elections in Syria since the conflict started have also shown this.
Dont you find it peculiar that a bunch of islamist dictators are fighting for democracy for other people but wouldn't give it to their own? don't you find it peculiar the Saudi has the worst human rights track record on the planet, is much less tolerant to its citizens than Assads Syria, is run by a tyrant monarchy but is supported by the US?

Its their (Syrians) country, not Erdogan's, Obama's or king Sauds.

The only countries supporting the Syrian people and the legitimate government of Syria in this conflict is Syria, Russia and china. The rest have a hidden agenda.

How can you say that Max?

Do you honestly believe that these Rebel Groups do not enjoy sizable support from sectors of the Syrian public on the street? Where do all the recruits come from Max? From the Syrian Public by any chance?

How on earth did 41 recorded groups form then Max? Out of cabbage patches?

Can a Rebel Group be created in Cyprus so easily? How about the USA spread some of that Cabbage Patch seed into Cyprus?

Not all the groups are Sunni either and some identify as Sectarian. Must have been different Cabbage seed! Not only that, but there are even Coptic Christian Rebels Max. That's almost the same if not a stricter form of Christianity than your Orthodox Brothers.

But as the Russians said; "If it walks like a terrorist, talks like a terrorist, then it is a terrorist" so I guess the Christian Militias have been tossed in the same bag as the likes of DAESH. We mustn't be fixated on labels after all, just paint the entire war into a Black and White scenario no matter how overly simplistic.

But no one talks like a terrorist and walks like a terrorist more-so than Putin (Ukraine) and Assad. They give DAESH a real good run for their money because I can assure you, DAESH have NOT killed 230,000 Syrians. Assad did!

I leave the other 20,000 as being killed by all the 42 rebel groups combined and coalition collateral
