Afek Oil and Gas chief geologist Dr. Yuval Bartov told Channel 2 News, "We are talking about a strata which is 350 meters thick and what is important is the thickness and the porosity. On average in the world strata are 20-30 meters thick, so this is ten times as large as that, so we are talking about significant quantities. ..."
http://www.globes.co.il/en/article-huge ... 1001071698this must be the biggest robbery in the 21st century so far. And from Syria. I would have thought that no other people on earth could use a good break just now than the long-suffering Syrians. They are certainly going to need money to fund the rebuilding of their country, where the parts that have not yet been reduced to rubble may well be. Yet the Israelis have stolen this from them. This news makes me angry - very angry. Am I in a minority of one here, or does anybody share my sentiments?
...indeed the situation is very complex to say the least. And while a man like GR crows, witnessing the same kind of relentless brutality, the criminality of these acts will be justified, simply because "one side", is against the "other". Indeed, i am waiting for the Kurds to be betrayed (again), even while Syria and Iraq are cut up differently to suit (who will be the victor), i don't dare like to think about Cyprus in all of this if it get's out of hand; it is a small tribute that can go one way or the other (because this island, divided, is very important to Turkey), to the country which holds Russia's access to the Black Sea, and they not us are in the thick of it.
Relevant news, Tim.
...never mind the bollocks, your contribution is as important.
In any case, Cyprus looms large on the map the way it is so close to this action, we should not be so quick to pick sides, if there is the opportunity Cyprus may offer its hospitality for dialog between these parties being an ally to all involved (even Turkey if she chooses to recognise beside the issue of Cypriot Constituencies, that Cyprus exists).
...while Putin is showing the rest of us how it is done, let us not forget that he personally is one of the world's richest people, and that he heads a kleptocracy that leaves Russians poorer, no better off under his 'new' 'Capitalist' regime, now showing its intentions internationally. What will he do with those billions and billions, give them back?
