The rebels will never have any shortage of new recruits and we if we want to can supply them with all the weaponry they need through our proxies.

The Arab World will never yield to Iran.

Where are these new recruits coming from?

Note, you have already run out of legitimate Syrians years ago to fight against Assad. what your talking about now is recruiting foreign mercenaries to do your bidding.

They are coming from the millions of Sunnis that have always lived in Syria. They actually constitute a clear majority in Syria's population.

When people are desperately trying to survive, then the FSA and JAESH al-Fatah will be able to recruit. FSA also comprises Alawite anti Assad forces from the Syrian military.

the clear majority are behind Assad and Syrian government forces.

You do realize that your position on Syria and supporting a minority is contradictory to democratic values and your position on what is happening and did happen in Cyprus right?

The Russian bases are here for keeps… make no mistake about it and there’s nothing the West can do about it as the US will NEVER confront Russia militarily unless their own territory was under threat.

No doubt behind the scenes a face saving US exit door is being constructed and agreed upon with Russia as we speak.

For Cyprus, this will in time prove to be the breakthrough we have been waiting for in our struggle for justice against Turkey.

You have your hand on it once again I'm afraid. But again, what else is new?

it's very much business as usual for the Coalition as our air operations continue 24/7 even though Putin's actions are strengthening DAESH and made the task more difficult.

I dont think so. Putin is targeting Daesh and the rebels. Basically anyone in opposition to Assad. If the US is in fact targeting Daesh too then Russia is helping.

To remove the coalition of 60 countries, 12 of which have air assets flying in Syria and Iraq is easier said than done. So you can dream on!

Putin on the other hand has a lot more to fear. It should fear a war with the USA and the coalition whereas we have not a great deal to fear. We have a number of options available to us and I will tell you what they are one by one:

1) we control the airspace and there is no doubt about that. We all know who the victor will be if Putin gets carried away. So we could send a message by declaring a "NO FLY ZONE" If Obama does that, then Putin will be too afraid to conduct a scenic flight in Syria because we would engage this flight,

I dont think so, Putin is conducting air strikes on Daesh positions and 'we' are not doing anything about it.

2) we could send a message by shooting a Russian jet down. I am being serious. What can Russia do? declare war? I don't bloody think so. If it did, it will lose all its Air Assets within 24 hours. We have so many aircraft that the Russian Air Bases will turn to glass in hours. Sure, even if we lose half a dozen jets, Putin will learn very quickly his place in this world,

If 'we' shoot a russian jet down it will actually be 'us' declaring war on Russia.

3) we are going to train and supply FSA and JAESH al-Fatah with billions in weapons, so Assad better bunker down. Sure, Russia can continue to bomb them right up to the point we declare a "NO FLY ZONE" in which case they won't even be able to fly a kite.

We already declared a no fly zone and Russian jets are flying around over Syria.

4) final option is we deploy Ground Troops. Probably an unlikely scenario because we are not going to be in Syria for 20 years fighting this war but Iran and Russia might be their fighting their losing war against rebel groups which we will fund such as the FSA and JAESH al-Fatah.

Well done Paphitis. lets fund more disaster in Syria and blame Assad.

So stop wanking your little weener because the only smart option the Russians have is to convince Assad to step down.

Meanwhile, our Jets will fly and control the skies. The Russian Jets are our little guests in Airspace we own and control so behave yourself.

You have a dangerous mind Paphitis. 'We' have very little to gain but a lot to lose with this kind of mentality. What are 'we' doing all this for? would you go or send your boys to fight in Syria?

I would be very proud of my boy and girl is they decided to serve their country. We have not lost one yet! And probably, we never will unless we deploy Ground Troops.

This is not what I asked. Anyhow, how is sending them to fight in a Syrian "civil war" serving your country? Its one thing to defend your country, its quite another to send them thousands of miles away to be the aggressor in someone else's.

So would you send them to Syria?

I’ve watched most of the videos released by the Russians and every time they fire a missile/rocket (whatever) you can see an entire bloody kilometer going up to kingdom come! There’s no escape from that.

Already ISIS has stopped broadcasting their usual stream of videos… nothing new has come out in the past week!

Many on social media sites are talking about “the snackbars are over”…

Do you really think so?

You will be waiting for a very long time. These guys are sworn to flight to the death.

Our boys and girls are fighting the Sunni DAESH. There is certainly a lot to be proud of there.

Prove it Paphitis,

Every time I have provided you with an independent survey polling a broad cross section of Syrian society, (twice now from different sources taken at different times) which states that the majority support Assad you rubbish it.

Yet you provide nothing credible to back up what YOU think. like, we have to just take you word for it that the majority are against Assad. Then you tell us to read more to back up your assertions.

Well provide something from your reading to back up what and why you think this, which you usually fail to do.

Prove that the majority are against Assad.......................................................................................................................................................................................................

I'm waiting.

For crying out loud Max. Look at Syria's demographics old boy. It is a majority Sunni country of Arabs. They comprise 65%.

They are fundamentally opposed to Assad and for good reason. The Baathists have been f#%king them over for decades.

Dream on boy!

They are calling for a political transition away from Assad. If it doesn't happen, then please refer back to my 5 options.
