The Russian bases are here for keeps… make no mistake about it and there’s nothing the West can do about it as the US will NEVER confront Russia militarily unless their own territory was under threat.

No doubt behind the scenes a face saving US exit door is being constructed and agreed upon with Russia as we speak.

For Cyprus, this will in time prove to be the breakthrough we have been waiting for in our struggle for justice against Turkey.

You have your hand on it once again I'm afraid. But again, what else is new?

it's very much business as usual for the Coalition as our air operations continue 24/7 even though Putin's actions are strengthening DAESH and made the task more difficult.

I dont think so. Putin is targeting Daesh and the rebels. Basically anyone in opposition to Assad. If the US is in fact targeting Daesh too then Russia is helping.

To remove the coalition of 60 countries, 12 of which have air assets flying in Syria and Iraq is easier said than done. So you can dream on!

Putin on the other hand has a lot more to fear. It should fear a war with the USA and the coalition whereas we have not a great deal to fear. We have a number of options available to us and I will tell you what they are one by one:

1) we control the airspace and there is no doubt about that. We all know who the victor will be if Putin gets carried away. So we could send a message by declaring a "NO FLY ZONE" If Obama does that, then Putin will be too afraid to conduct a scenic flight in Syria because we would engage this flight,

I dont think so, Putin is conducting air strikes on Daesh positions and 'we' are not doing anything about it.

2) we could send a message by shooting a Russian jet down. I am being serious. What can Russia do? declare war? I don't bloody think so. If it did, it will lose all its Air Assets within 24 hours. We have so many aircraft that the Russian Air Bases will turn to glass in hours. Sure, even if we lose half a dozen jets, Putin will learn very quickly his place in this world,

If 'we' shoot a russian jet down it will actually be 'us' declaring war on Russia.

3) we are going to train and supply FSA and JAESH al-Fatah with billions in weapons, so Assad better bunker down. Sure, Russia can continue to bomb them right up to the point we declare a "NO FLY ZONE" in which case they won't even be able to fly a kite.

We already declared a no fly zone and Russian jets are flying around over Syria.

4) final option is we deploy Ground Troops. Probably an unlikely scenario because we are not going to be in Syria for 20 years fighting this war but Iran and Russia might be their fighting their losing war against rebel groups which we will fund such as the FSA and JAESH al-Fatah.

Well done Paphitis. lets fund more disaster in Syria and blame Assad.

So stop wanking your little weener because the only smart option the Russians have is to convince Assad to step down.

Meanwhile, our Jets will fly and control the skies. The Russian Jets are our little guests in Airspace we own and control so behave yourself.

You have a dangerous mind Paphitis. 'We' have very little to gain but a lot to lose with this kind of mentality. What are 'we' doing all this for? would you go or send your boys to fight in Syria?

Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey are crying because they are not getting what they planned for and are lying about Russia's actions in Syria.

Germany and France, swamped by refugees, just realised the dangerous game Uncle Sam entangled them in and are actually supporting Russia and performing air strikes against ISIS themselves hoping it will quickly end this war.

The U.S.A are trying to sustain and prolong the conflict because it gives them a platform from which they can play at 'leader', be 'in control' and make money.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

Fact is, there is NOTHING Putin could do if the coalition declare a "NO FLY ZONE".

If we shoot one down to send a message, once again, Putin will need to change his underwear.

We would see how eager he would be to negotiate after that.

in a way, the west has already declared war on Russia.

The west is creeping by trying to encircle Russia with Nato bases and has purposefully destabilized two Russian friendly countries just recently. What the west did in Ukraine, by forcefully installing a western bribed puppet as head of state is trying to do now in Syria. Its economic.

The US has degenerated from a once great nation to an incredulous state on the decline, that has to commit war crimes across the globe to try and maintain its capitalist position in the world. It has nothing but propaganda to tell its sphere's of influence and its aim is world domination through destruction and then providing [blackmailing] their 'solution' to be accepted. Putin simply asks, do you know what you have done?

Obama thinks what is good for America is good for everyone. Putin thinks what is good for Russia may not be good for others.

After the UN speeches, Obama went home and told Americans that relations with Russia are better than ever and they came to many agreements on Syria. Putin went home and told Russians that relations with America are worse than they have ever been and the Americans don't agree with them about anything.

Putin is a world leader. Obama is a lying puppet.

Yes, well... it doesn't take long to figure out that Paphitis is a 12 a year old! :?

He now wants to declare a no-fly zone over the Russian one! <--

You FAILED to read the articles once again which clarify that a no-fly zone needs the technology to enforce it and Putin hasn't forgotten to bring and install a bunch of S-400 batteries in Syria which have a max range of 400Km!

No not at all.

We in the end don't give a toss about Tartus and Russia's bases. It can keep them because at the end of the day they are no threat to NATO and the Russians actually give them something to do and are an invaluable training tool. They are actually quite a lot of fun.

Russia's involvement has potentially prolonged our involvement in Syria because it favours DAESH which is an organisation we are completely unwilling to tolerate and we are unwilling to tolerate any self proclaimed Caliphate in the region.

Secondly, we also know that the easiest way to defeat ALL the rebels or dissolve them entirely is for Assad to be replaced with another instrument which combines both the Alawites and Sunnis of Syria. Once again, Russia can keep its bases because we need someone to play with.

It also keeps the Trillion Dollar weapons industry going.

I don't read propaganda. There are literally thousands of articles on the net bordering from the ridiculous to the not so ridiculous.

You have many rich pickings from ridiculous non serious and non credible sources with an agenda some of which are even written by American citizens because America has freedom of the press and free speech. Can't say the same of Russia.

I cant believe that you believe this.

If the west pulled out, Russia could deal with the problem the west created in a fraction of the time.

RAAF Super Hornets are flying in this airspace everyday. So do the RAF Tornadoes. The USN as well from the sixth fleet.

What are they gonna do about it? F@#k all because Putin is a pussy!

And consider that their shirt front!
