I await the day when the current 'organized religion' political structures are brought to the ground and spirituality becomes a personal or group experience detached from commandments, rulebooks and testaments that give power and wealth to the few over the majority.

If there is a God, then reaching God or following God's path MUST be something innate to all sentient beings and not a conditional knowledge only humans acquire after reading a certain 'holy scripture' out of the hundreds currently in existence.

As for Islam, I spit on that disgrace for it is no religion but rather a political system whose strict adherence treats women as cattle, non-believers as subhuman dirtmats and it's own followers as tools to a cause. It's like Mohammed just wrote an Arabic version of the fucking old testament. Same bullshit riddled with the same outrageous absolutisms that make no sense and the same call to war.

There were indeed some shining figures in Arab history, who were muslim but were also great (Salahadin and others), but the very nature of this vermin of a religion silenced the voices of Arab and Persian scientists and philosophers and mathematicians just as Christianity silenced the voices of Socrates and Plato and Democritus for athousand years.

Education was quite secular in Germany from 1933 to 1945, very secular in Russia between 1917 and 1991 and China from 1947 to date. Education was quite secular in Germany from 1933 to 1945, very secular in Russia between 1917 and 1991 and China from 1947 to date. I understand that you don't get much religious education in North Korea either. Sorry, but blaming prejudice and unpleasant behaviour on religion is following a false road.

Prejudice and unpleasant behaviour are not necessarily always caused by religion, but at the same time religion can and has been a cause for prejudice and unpleasant behaviour.

Religions are very dangerous because unlike other institutions they claim to be absolute and have god as their only source. You cannot reason or find logic or common ground with religious beliefs. You can only believe that for thousands of years Allah created and planned the world in perfection so that one day an Imam can go on television and tell you that jerking off is a sin.

As irrelevant, or to be fair, as relevant as yours. Actually, religion is probably better since at least the source documents urge peace. Mein Kampf, Das Kapiltal and Mao's little red book all urge a struggle against another group of people. I'm unsure of the documentary source of North Korea's various Kims' world view but their public statements are pretty combative.
