I can't remember who was ridiculing the loss of life in France, and celebrating this hideous crime, but wouldn't you agree that is a bit uncivilized for that person to take advantage of the freedom of speech afforded to them to them by their civilized society to say such ridiculous things?

I’m aware that many of you consider Europe to be “civilized” and all that but I don’t agree with this.

The moment France (and all other imperialist-minded EU states) become responsible law-abiding nations that work for the interests of their citizens; instead of fucking around with the US, is the moment "terrorism" will disappear.

Europe has a long way to go before it becomes civilized for it must first HONOR its signatures because if you’re unable or unwilling to follow the rule of law then you cannot be considered civilized.

Being civilized isn’t about having the latest digital TVs, smartphones, nice houses and hot cars. Such material possessions would constitute “technologically advanced” and perhaps “wealthy” but not necessarily civilized.

Saudi Arabia is one such extreme example of a country that has access to almost any technology it desires as a result of oil wealth, but is simultaneously mentally archaic and backwards and thus uncivilized.

This recurring theme; that has become the hallmark of the West, is in direct contraction to civility and cannot therefore be ignored so to answer your question, the most civilized countries would have to be those that are both technologically advanced, law abiding, AND civil in their attitude towards their neighbors and other nations and I’ll leave that for you to decide who satisfies these criteria if any.

Being civilised is about letting the weak live without fear from the strong. This doesn't exist under Islam as any woman will tell you. The laws of civilised societies protect the weak. These do not exist with Sharia.

I agree with this. All the same, there's no reason to limit ourselves to the 'West'. We can freely include all powerful countries around the world. Unless, of course you are willing to name one powerful country that throughout its history never engaged in flagrant violations of international law against 3rd world impoverished and defenseless nations.

The only way to solve this problem is for humanity to come together and decide what kind of children we want to bring up and what kind of values we want to instill on them. Instead of this, we just go to work all day and let the state and the media decide how our children will grow up.

Well then aren't we all lucky that when it all counts, the criminal west stands United to confront terrorism around the world.

Yes the Western Civilisation is one, through think and thin and this is the single thing that upsets you the most. America is not alone. France is not alone. We are all one, United just like in WW2. The EU, America, France, Japan, Australia, Canada and many more. It makes us strong and powerful and even as France is attacked again we all stand with her.

That is a Civilisation! No matter what, we will continue and prevail. Our justice will be swift.
