Putin for president of the United States!

Postby Get Real! » Fri Sep 25, 2015 4:41 pm

You heard right... even average American citizens have started to chant his name in the streets yearning for a competent and respectable leader as the Russian president reaches superstar level of global popularity. Never before has a politician earned so much respect worldwide as Vladimir Putin! The Czar of the Earth as he is also known has become a global phenomenon!

The trouble with your “google > find a headline that suits the preconceived idea your in head > paste the headline and link without troubling to read the article” strategy is that you often end up posting links to articles that argue for the precise opposite of what you are. For example, the article at the link http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show ... ted-states has the following to say about the tyrant Putin:

The second is the belief that Putin, were he “head of the United States … for 48 hours,” could work wonders through his autocratic ways. In case the right has lost sight of this, the Russian president has made a series of bold moves this year, and all of them were fairly disastrous for his country. Russia’s international standing (outside of Fox headquarters) is in shambles; Putin’s policies have led to an economic recession; and the conflict with Ukraine hasn’t advanced Russia’s interests at all.

As Thomas Friedman recently put it, “Let’s add it up: Putin’s seizure of Crimea has weakened the Russian economy, led to China getting a bargain gas deal, revived NATO, spurred Europe to start ending its addiction to Russian gas and begun a debate across Europe about increasing defense spending. Nice work, Vladimir. That’s why I say the country Putin threatens most today is Russia.”

Tim, when was the last time you saw Americans debating whether some Russian would make a good president for the US?

Sounds laughable doesn't it because historically it never happened before... until now! So the article does indeed support what I’m saying.

I also like the article’s ending which was written about a year ago…

“At Fox, however, Putin is seen as the kind of great leader who could target ISIS and “get it done right.”
Reality suggests otherwise.”

In hindsight we now know that Fox was correct and the author wrong! :)

I think GR! has picked up on the zeitgeist quite well. I overheard some students extolling Putin's virtues just the other day. He seems clean, morally unpright and so far a great role model for the young generation who have to put up with the likes of drug taking, Eton school semi-educated toffs who stick their private parts in pigs! :P

The sensational claims that the Prime Minister was in a “dope smoking group” called the Flam Club and took part in a debauched initiation, were made in an unauthorised biography Call Me Dave by ex-Tory peer Lord Ashcroft.

The book also alleges Mr Cameron put a “private part of his anatomy” in the mouth of a dead pig’s head in an initiation ceremony for the debauched Piers Gaveston Society.

Are you for real? Putin is probably the richest and corruptist man in Russia, all on a very modest salary. Quite simply what he gets does not come in brown envelopes but big cardboard boxes. He is, to be blunt, a megalomaniac . Within Russia he has destroyed freedom of the press, and with it generally freedom of expression. Opponents are murdered qv the pollonium killing in London.

And no I am not going to defend that twat Cameron. Not for allegedly sticking his todger in a dead pig's gob. What inam going tonsttack you for is that Cameron faults do not however alter the fact that Putin really is the sort of Person described by Lord Acton, about great men and the risks of absolute corruption, without any help from Cameron. So lets stick to Putin in this thread. By all means start a seperate one on Cameron ....he deserves it.

Putin doesn't even make Russia's top 100 wealthiest men...

Wasn't there mounting evidence that this was an inside job by British Intelligence, before the trial was stopped?

I think their defence against this has been to stop the Putin slanders and muddy their own waters with things like:

According to unnamed British security sources contacted with Richard Beeston, Daniel McGrory and Tony Halpin of The Times, "Litvinenko might have been killed after a deal that went wrong with associates involved in the ruthless world of Russian business".[80] The article's authors said Litvinenko "was envious of the money many of his former colleagues were making" and that his friends said he claimed to be involved in investigations of smuggling rings for nuclear material and prostitutes.

wiki

All much more interesting than 007. :P

Yes the republicans want a Putin style leader because they want to deploy Ground Troops.

If the Republicans win, then that is exactly what the world will get - A Putin style leader capable of doing anything such as invade Syria and Damascus. Maybe you might even get WW3.

Lucky for all of you that the Democrats might win and the USA will not have a Republican henchman in power like Putin. Some Republicans from the American Bible belt are almost as crazy as Putin is and certainly just as Nationalistic.

BTW, Putin is wealthier than Bill Gates according to Forbes and his wealth empire is estimated at $70 Billion USD. I wonder what his salary is. :?

You have put your finger on it. Not all Republicans, in fact, but a wacko fascistic fringe of the party want a fascistic, Putin style leader, not the noxious tyrant himself.,
