This is disgrace for humanity.
Amazing how they can only ever find pictures of dead/injured children and never Hamas fighters... Perhaps they have all run away...?
The data are supplied by Hamas and are full of, sometimes ridiculous, anomalies. They're to an extent fabricated and not to be taken at face value. Particularly the disproportionate casualty figures for women and children.
Since Oct 7th and Israel's - totally underestimated - reaction, Hamas's most potent weapon has been the PR afforded by dead and suffering Palestinians. The more vulnerable the better. Everything the organisation's done has displayed their total contempt for the people they're supposedly guardians of. From the siphoning off of hundreds of millions in "aid" money, to be used in the manufacture of a sophisticated tunnel network, larger than the London underground, including major access points being incorporated into sensitive civilian buildings, to the mass manufacture of thousands of rockets to be fired indiscriminately at Israeli population centers. Often from within the bounds of the likes of Mosques/Hospitals/Civilian complexes. It's clearly been their policy to hide and fight from within the population, ensuring maximum danger to Palestinian civilians. All that, whilst many of the Hamas senior commanders remained safely esconsed in luxury Qatari/Dubai hotels.
A ceasefire will be celebrated in Gaza as a great victory - as has happened in the past. There will be pictures of kids waving flags, brandishing AK47s and much dancing in (what's left of) the streets.
I doubt the Israelis are willing to settle for that. Whatever the international pressure applied. They will want a cast iron assurance that Israel will never again suffer an event like Oct 7th.
