Turks and Turkish Cypriots dont want to return confiscated land they have thrown people out of and given to others.

Why you expect Israel to do it when you wont do it yourselves?

oh, i know, I know, because of Grivas, a priest and Greece.

And the Israelis wont because of a book, god and its their promised land.

Maximas, you must be more clear. That part of the Cypriot population which is Turkish and Turkish Cypriot are compatriots who stand against the same enemy: "Cypriot Turks", "Turks", and "Greeks".

Do not kid yourself, for Cyprus to survive 'we' must unite.

...it is the same in Israel, (the potential clearly exists,) it is the People who will join together to rid themselves of "This".

If I said it once I said it a thousand times. TCs have offered GCs to exchange land and only about 4500 applied. And some have even been allowed to return too. They have no cause to complain. GRoC needs to make the same facility available for those who wish to exchange and those who wish to return. I don't think the ToiletBrush boy realises that even if the TCs are allowed to return south, they have no right to their properties without a court case that can last 10 years. Hell Varoshides have been offered Varosha twice and turned it down. Erdogan is thankful for the help he is getting to keep as much of Cyprus as he has.

There is no similarity between Cyprus and Israel. Zionists lost no land in 1948 and just took Palestinian land. The problem with the ToiletBrush boy is he needs a second brain cell to compute the matter to even begin to understand.

Lets face it a TC who was expelled in 1974 and I mean expelled because they were rounded up and transferred with their homes destroyed will not want to move back. Fair exchange is the only way forward. Let those who wish to return to do so and those who do not exchange be they TC or GC.

What is really interesting here is there is a connection between East Ukrainians, Palestinians and Turkish Cypriots. All three have suffered under oppressive regimes with one difference those backing the Palestinians have not been able to help other than supply arms which are inadequate for defence. And of course the Palestinians are the only ones that are fighting not just one oppressor but the whole of SwineWest. So did Vietnam and won. You cannot oppress people forever, eventually they will wear you down just like IRA did to UK and countless other states which fought their colonialists and won their independence.

Hope is the strongest weapon on earth and a weapon to defeat is available but cannot be used.

The phrase "From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free" can be interpreted in various ways. The core of Lordo's argument hinges on the right of return for Palestinians to the homes and lands they were displaced from in 1948. While the right of return is enshrined in international law, specifically in UN General Assembly Resolution 194, its implementation is complex.

While there are parallels in the experiences of displaced populations, each conflict has its own unique history, geopolitical dynamics, and set of resolutions. In the case of Cyprus, efforts have been made toward reconciliation, with various plans proposed for the unification of the island and compensation for lost property. These efforts have faced challenges (to say the least) and have been met with resistance by Turkey and the Turkish Cypriot side. Their goal was and is a separate state and it is as evident today as it was back in the 1950's when they wanted Turkey taksim.

The assertion that only about 4,500 GCs applying for land exchange, indicating a lack of interest in returning oversimplifies the emotional, legal, and logistical barriers to such decisions. The low number may reflect the myriad difficulties GC's face in reclaiming property or relocating, rather than a lack of desire for return or settlement. The IPC, that was set up for these matters, low balls the GC's and has ran out of money.

Suggesting that the Republic of Cyprus should simply "make the same facility available" for those wishing to return or exchange land neglects the deep political and legal complexities involved in property restitution in conflict areas. Property claims are coupled with issues of sovereignty, territorial adjustments, and international law, which cannot be addressed merely by offering an exchange or return scheme.

Drawing parallels between Cyprus and Israel/Palestine while claiming there's "no similarity" because "Zionists lost no land in 1948" is a gross oversimplification of both conflicts. The Turkish Cypriots also lost no land, they gained at the GC's expense. How about that?

It had to happen sooner or later.
Let the SwineWest watch what they have caused. I will never forget the Cunt who said "We have your back" and "You will win".

Assholes the lot of them.

This is quite an interesting bit of information. The 11 settlements that were hit by Hamas on October 7ths are the settlements that were built on the last 11 villages that Israel expelled into Gaza. So these people could see their own villages being used by settlers. Ben-Gurion sent a message to the Israeli terrorists around Gaza in 1948 to expel all the inhabitants of the 11 villages and then burn the houses that were built with straw and mortar and blow up the houses that were built of stone.
