Now think about that for a moment because despite the passage of 444 years you are STILL a segregated people forever antagonized by Turkey and still holding onto Turkish dreams.

Your stay in Cyprus is a total failure.

Now whose fault is that?

I agree with your point totally . How can a strong empire at the time allow your race and your faith to continue to survive till this day . I feel very disappointed in the failures of the Ottoman Empire . If they had a stronger and more effective policy on converting their conquered subjects which your forefathers were to Islam and totally assimilating your race to osmanli culture we would have had no seperation now. It was due to ottoman failures that your race is still here . You should be thankful to their 444 years of failures .

Actually, your ignorant post, and hateful way of thinking for that matter, are a failure compared to the culture and tradition that allowed the Osmanli to maintain and run a multicultural empire for more than 400 years.

You are probably the descendant of conquered subjects who didn't have the mental or personal strength to persist with their faith and converted to Islam to live an easier life. Talk about loser DNA.

and what dc, the gc have the mental strength to resit. did the go chuch resist while collecting the taxes for the pasha. back to your snake hole asshole.

if you were a medical man you would know that as far as dna is concerned the winners are the survivors and the losers are the ones that go extinct. like you who believe you are greak. off to greace you go boy.

As our forefathers had no interest in a mundane construction such as 'race' and were more into seperating people according to 'religion', it's more likely that after 600 years of constant interaction considering yourself Greek or Turkish is more of an identity you build in your mind after learning the respective language and growing up in a respective culture. This argument grows even stronger when you consider Devshirme and the amount of Osmanli nobility in the early years of the Ottoman empire who freely identified as Greek muslims but were forced to Turkishness after 1821.

The only snake assholes in this thread are little headed people like Lordo, Shistedjiodu and Kurupetos.

by accusing the question of being stupid does not negate the fact.

how much of private property was gc before the ottomans.

OK, here is a straightforward, honest and serious question. If you answer this I will answer yours, so here goes:

What percentage of land was muslim before the Ottomans?

It's a stupid question, but if you really want me to word out a coherent answer to your stupid, irrelevant question you can answer my aforementioned and equally stupid and irrelevant question first.

how can it be a stupid question. gcs were living on the island before the ottomans. how much of the land did they own surely is as real as it can be. what criteria do you use to judge the aforementioned question as stupid.

It's a stupid question because it doesn't define what ownership means. It doesn't take into account what the ancestors of the GC identified themselves as. It treats the island as a collection of plots of land instead of a home a human living space. The question stands inefficient and stupid.
